lack of response to my questions

You want my honest answer?

I believe that a large number of conservatives in this country, particularly on the far right, have gone through a meltdown since 2008 and are currently suffering delusions of persecution induced by an immensely successful propaganda campaign of irrational fear perpetrated in the interest of garnering political power and generating advertising dollars.

I also believe that in what could be a best described as a "defense mechanism," the afflicted are repeatedly told (brainwashed) into thinking that it's not this meme infection that is causing the division but instead, it's that boogeyman, Obama. That Kenyan, Muslim, possibly gay, Saul Alinsky worshipping, communist, Chicago thug, Christian-hating, racist, fascist, socialist, with his fake birth certificate and his fake SSN and his hatred of freedom and white people and America. He's Stalin, Hitler, Mao and Satan rolled up into one.

There's actually a post in this thread about Satan and sacrificing children? Is that rational? Does it not bother you that all this extreme abject hatred goes back to before the inauguration?

See thats your opinion, i see a good positive msg, not everything is a propaganda jedi mind trick.

And your country has been a mess for lot longer than the obamas, and no i aint a pointing finger at bush, your last what 5 presidents where all bought out puppets.

Facts are america is slowly dying like rome died, from inside and from outsiders.

Not trying to attack you just seeing it differently i guess.

Your absoulutely right about past presidents.........

Which is why we should be vigilant and look further into what is actually going on.....

You have to not only look at what they are saying but what they are DOING, and what they are DOING falls right in line with the malevolent intent IMHO behind this speech......

If ghandi came out and said somthing like this, or Martin Luther King Jr......or Judge Nepalitano, or Micheal Jordan, or many other people out there who have a history of actually living what they speak, it would be different......

Its coming from someone who has a history of doing the exact opposite of what she says, and her husbands the same way......

This administration and these politicians have done nothing but use this issue to further divide the American people.....

They do the exactly the opposite of what they say........they condemn publicly racism against black people, but speak not a word when its the other way around....

Actions speak louder then words.......

I think the people who look at what she has said and approach it with trepidation and scrutiny are completely justified in this.......

How do we see it so differently, and no i wouldent have voted for barack, i dont drink the kool aid, you guys would call me a commie im even more evil than the obamas lol.

She and Obama listen for over twenty years to their pastor and he preached hate on the white man all the time, show me one time she stood up and corrected him.

I guess you sat your A$$ in that Church for Twenty years and didn't say a word in protest to Rev. Wright.
So, you're a Bigot!

You believe all this....

yet the ones who have honest concerns because of the track record of destruction caused by this administration, are the ones who are crazy and delusional?

You assign all these attributes to conservatives in one monolithic white wash, but WERE the crazy ones......

Well , at least you are honest, and I appreciate your input

If your argument is based on truth and you are able to articulate it effectively people will decide for themselves to support you by the grace and virtue of your reasoning.

If they do not agree you must leave them to their own devices IF you are a true proponent of the democratic model our republic is based on.

Before there can be an agreement or disagreement, there must first be a conversation. The speech encouraged a conversation. We're having a conversation right now and we're not agreeing. By your logic, we are both infringing on one another's freedoms?

First we get the "if you see something say something campaign, now we get the "hear something say something"campaign, what next the "if you think someone is against the government then say something" campaign.

Can't some of you see this is just another step to total control?

The video I can't find, just reports from news out lets during the primaries between Hillary and Obama in 2008.
But I did find this.

Michelle Obama spoke at the Women’s Event, but referenced Bill Clinton in her rant — his presence at the conference was the impetus for her raving, it seems.

For about 30 minutes, Michelle Obama launched into a rant about the evils of America, and how America is to blame for the problems of Africa. Michelle personally blamed President Clinton for the deaths of millions of Africans and said America is responsible for the genocide of the Tutsis and other ethnic groups. She then launched into an attack on “whitey”, and talked about solutions to black on black crime in the realm of diverting those actions onto white America. Her rant was fueled by the crowd: they reacted strongly to what she said, so she got more passionate and enraged, and that’s when she completely loses it and says things that have made the mouths drop of everyone who’s seen this.

The “tape” is a DVD that Trinity United sold on its website, and possibly offered free for download up until March 2008 when Trinity’s site was scrubbed and the DVDs were no longer offered for sale.

This outburst happened just one month before the 2004 Democratic Convention, when Barack Obama delivered the keynote address.

I have no issue with concerns.

I don't think Obama is a particularly great President. I think in terms of the economy, the Democrats have always just followed suit with what the GOP does and they're just as in bed with Wall Street and the international banking cartel. He's obviously said things that weren't true, promised more than he could deliver and made a number of questionable decisions. The ACA was too heavily influenced by the interests of insurance companies and the roll-out was a debacle. It's going to need a lot of work and will eventually be replaced. In terms of foreign policy, I'd say it's a pretty terrible thing when Ari Fleischer has said that the administration basically extended Bush's policies in the middle east. He signed an extension to the Patriot Act ffs. Gitmo is still open and the NSA is conducting absurd, unconstitutional, privacy destroying surveillance.

Do I think he's worse than Bush was? No. The difference is that as much as I disliked Bush the President, I didn't rant and rave about Satan and sacrifices or call him a Nazi and make comparisons to Hitler and Stalin. I didn't accuse him of hating America, hating our troops or orchestrating a master plan to destroy America. Yet under his administration we got into two costly wars that resulted in thousands of Americans dying, based on lies and accomplishing what? SCOTUS, stacked with conservative justices, sold us down the river (Citizens United). The NSA spying programs were started, he signed the first Patriot Act and extended it twice, did his fair share of lying and initiated the first rounds of bail-outs as we fell into recession. He even had his own ridiculous, anti-consumer FCC chairman in Michael Powell.

I don't draw the comparison to excuse Obama but rather to make the point out that we can no longer even have a reasonable debate because the vitriolic nature of the rhetoric from the right has exploded disproportionately to what the man has actually done/not done. No Presidency is all good or no bad, but this is the first one that was billed from the very beginning as ushering in the end of days.

The extremist views have bled waaaaaaaay too far into the mainstream of conservatism and that's where the division is coming from. I believe a lot of this can be ascribed to the rise of Fox News, the takeover of talk radio, the emergence of ultra-right "news" sources on the web and a lot of blame transference by GOP members of a dysfunctional Congress.

Criticism is definitely in order, it ALWAYS is, but a large chunk of the right has just gone off the deep end.

God, the right are such drama queens..
Of course they twist and turn something the Obama's said, into something they did not mean...pathetic.

Another thread filled with faux outrage.

Good Job, all you do is make the right look pathetic and desperate....
for your efforts.

Wow. You're dredging up a 6 year-old hoax? Here's Larry C. Johnson saying himself that there was no tape:

Looking back, I can only conclude that Brock engaged in a deliberate dirty trick and I was an unwitting tool in this effort. Was there some truth to the allegation of a “tape.” I don’t know. What we do know is that Obama campaign came up with a contrived explanation insisting that Michelle had said, “WHY DID HE.” Why would you come up with that kind of excuse for something that did not exist? But, I have not seen or heard the recording of such a tape. So I can only conclude that the desperation of the Clinton campaign to win was so extreme that they would stoop to the level of creating a racially charged allegation.

source - noquarter

Yet it's still floating around with people believing it to be true despite the hoaxer himself admitting that there's no tape. This is why you shouldn't get your opinion from youtube videos.

I'm not Republican
I'm an 'Independent'

Instead of singling out and isolating a certain group of people, she could have inspired the young adults through another route by encouraging them to accept people for who they are regardless of their differences

The Obama's are not the first ones to be called names--Satan/Hitler etc. --other presidents have been called that as well, from both political parties

I made the mistake of voting for Obama the first time, but I did not the 2nd go round because I don't like his policies, our foreign ties are weak and I really don't care for how they manipulate the public on race issues

The issue of race/bigotry will never change as long as our country is a melting pot
All that is , is a pipe dream

So now, we'll have young adults who will take it upon themselves to judge others who's views may vary from theirs
That is a fine line between control and trying to 'help' a wayward person

Ever try to tell an alcoholic to stop drinking????
Not a pretty picture...been there, done that

Same thing here...except this is a little more touchy for some people and will probably cause more of a problem then there already is

Bottom line: A battle of the Righteous VS. the Ill-thinkers

And freedom of self-expression is a person's right, regardless who gets offended by it

That IS indirectly policing a person's opinions
Telling them that what they are saying is inappropriate....inappropriate to whom?
See, then that right there is enough to cause bigger problems

Certain things are never appropriate. You have the right to vote because people spoke up to anti-suffragists. If everybody followed your "don't cause bigger problems" philosophy, you'd be disenfranchised.

Read about the Hitler youth movement . . .

Read about the China cultural revolution . . .

Read about Pol Pot . . .

Her exhortation follows in quite a tradition . . . one I'd not want my local dog catcher to have anything to do with.

Coming from the spouse of the current Destroyer in Chief . . . it's more than frightful and terminally sobering.

Gotta discipline my fingers better. This is just so outrageous.

Go read your bible, there some fun stories in there, comparing the obamas to any dictator that killed millions of people is a joke. It shames the people that died from those evil men.

And your so off topic its not even funny.

When you dismiss so glibly the bit about satan and sacrificing children . . . you merely display a lack of extensive quality awareness on the topic.

It was not hyperbole. I was deadly serious because THEY ARE.

You have 'good company' in that millions are as unaware as you seem to be.

Nevertheless, the road map is laid out plainly enough for astute well informed people to discern it reasonably clearly.

Folks will remember my words and remember dissing them . . . at a time when the facts have become painfully and bloodily clear in the national media . . . and when it is far too late to do anything active about standing on the side of life and righteousness.

BTW, I'm not exactly talking about abortion though I agree that abortion does sacrifice millions of babies . . . saline burned on the altar of convenience. And, a good part of the Bablyonian sacrificing of babies in the fires on the arms of the god Molach had to do with the parents CONVENIENCE and seeking favor of the god.

Real bloody sacrifices of children will be on the national media . . . and children will be taught to inform the authorities on anyone not willfully participating supportively.

I realize that it boggles the mind.

That's just a fact.

Look how far toward that goal the nation and the planet have moved in the last 60 years.
