I live in the EU, but I've never seen this show. What's wrong with me?

The modern era. Where everyone is everything. One big "Uni-All". How can anyone be offended by that? After all, we all belong, we are all a part of the "overall".

It really is utterly amazing that a song called "rise like a phoenix" had phoenix rising type symbolism on the screen behind as well.

And an Italian singer dressed in Roman style attire. How did they get such an idea?

Not really.
Frankly, I'm having my finals on tomorrow, so the only opened tabs in my Safari are ATS, Wikipedia and Google , therefore I'm not really savvy.
Still, nothing serious happening yet. Just, while having breakfast this morning my Dad told me that WE DO NOT HAVE ENOUGH GAS for the whole winter so they have to sort it out.

Btw, I would expect ukrainians to emigrate or something, but no violent clashes at the borders or trespassing yet...as far as I am aware of the situation.

Eurovision is famously dumb and trashy, and the vid that you presented was really no better.

So go on, lay the facts out about why all this symbolism that you see is present.

A lot of highly spiritual people are involved in that show and that many of the songs have subliminal meanings that most people do not understand. But then music have always been the spiritual peoples tool to get information out to those who can understand what they are describing.

En-light-ning yes. Counter small mindedness and for some people against their faith yes. Part of the power pyramid that controls people all over this planet, not very probable.

I find it funny that religious people that hate duality difference "sexual preference"/"not same religion"/"not same skin color" are always failing to follow Jesus teachings and fall into the ego faith trap taking the road that Jesus warned about while judging people who can speak in symbolism that they are satanic for using symbols that they hate. Many people have fallen to the dualistic teachings and should probably be classified as ego demonic since they have no control or understanding of themselves at all and are closer to an predatory animal than a divine being.

What a load of bollicks.

Eurovision is secular. I watched the entire finals and it's just a raucous trashy and quite fun song contest. I certainly don't feel brainwashed and that cube stage thing was amazing with the graphical displays it pumped out to support the songs. I loved the rain it made for one entry and all the powerpuff girly hearts and flowers for another.

The Polish girls and their song about making butter and doing washing was terrible yet hugely popular, we had some kids who needed permission slips from their parents to stay up so late represent Iceland and of course the bearded lady with really coarse man hair sing. Then there was muffin top guy from Malta in his unflattering white t-shirt and those whacky French boys singing about perfume, leather seats and the desire for a moustache.

But no, you go interpret it as some brain washing attempt why don't you. I had great fun watching the colourful noisy and not always that talented spectacle. Conchita won, because despite her unique appearance, her song was epic and she sung it well. Something that can't be said for a lot of other finalists.

There are spiritual concepts being described at this show, but I agree that it is not brainwashing since you do not get the message if you do not know the keywords.

I see multiple reference here to kundalini flame. Rebirth/transformation ascension. Discussion of karma. Read the lyrics of songs today and you will be amazed on what people really are singing about. Not religious but very spiritual things.

Some of this enormous sum can be recouped (sponsorship, broadcast fees, ticket sales) but basically it's the cost of showing off to the rest of Europe for a week.
