For something that just fallen '000s of feet it looks relatively intact.
There doesn't appear to be any sort of indentation in the ground either from an object falling from great height.

There are biological limits to brain sizes of intelligent beings.
Robots? Not so much.
Batteries Included?
Ants have the biggest brain to body size. Ants do not need machines

This comment really shows how much you are open to other possibilities.
Our biology is based on the carbon atom, yes? Well, what if theirs is not based on that atom but another, say silica for example?
Then their biology would be totally different from ours and therefore the brain/size ratios which apply to our world would not apply where they come from. Plus their environment would be totally different too.

Well, if its a UFO with passengers wanting to colonize earth... Im thrilled. With the size of that it means theyre small. I figure a few dozen mouse glue traps set around that ball should wrap up the invasion pretty quick.

Was just thinking that they ought to make commercial aircraft out of whatever material this thing is made from!
If that can survive that intact after re-entry and falling to the ground, it's pretty tough whatever it is.

Debris falling from old military/satellites would show signs of damage, or melting due to impact. That thing doesn't looked damaged at all just a bit carboned up.
What I don't see is a crater due to impact, or impression in the earth. Almost like it was placed there. ?????
Interesting for sure.
