White Knight (poem)
Save me! The woman cries,
Tears freely flowing from her eyes,
She throws her hands up in the air,
Falls to her knees, in despair.
Her face now buried in her hands,
She doesn't even see the man,
As he rides up on his mighty steed,
And pulls her up from on her knees.
What seems to be the problem miss?
Whatever it is, I will assist.
Have no fear, I'm here now,
I will save you, just tell me how.
Through sobs and outbursts of despair,
She tells him life is so unfair.
She just wanted a Gucci clutch,
She didn't think that was asking much.
He listened with great intent,
As she relayed the whole event,
Of how someone stole her identity,
And went on a shopping spree.
Now her money was all gone,
And she just couldn't carry on,
Gucci shoes and no matching purse,
Her life just couldn't get much worse.
Fear not, My lady, I know what to do!
Forget the purse and return those shoes!
While you're at it, hock those rings,
Quit spending money on frivolous things.
Jump up onto my fearless steed,
I know where we can do those things,
And when we're done, we'll ride out west,
And I'll teach you 'bout true happiness.
Bowing his head, he holds out his hand,
Excited he'd come up with a plan.
He would save this woman from strife,
And then he'd make her his lovely wife.
Minutes ticked by upon the clock,
After a few, he said, WTF!
Raising his head to see what was wrong,
He found the woman to be long gone.
He sighs as he prepares to leave,
Shedding his armor, releasing his steed.
He jumps into his Mercedes Benz,
Vowing never to be the white knight again.
