Dems...Why Not Let the Republicans Fail?

Yes...that title is meant to get your attention. And I'm speaking mostly to the Democrats, Liberals, Progressives, etc. I won't be rude but I have to ask and try to understand this. Honestly, I don't want to pre-judge but this questions has me stumped.

On Benghazi and the IRS situations currently in the headlines. The Republicans are going after these topics with what is at least promoted as "Finding out the Truth". I have been following the topics very closely and have my own opinion which is this. I believe the Obama administration has lied to the American people and tried to cover up their twisting and abuse of these events. I believe the IRS was purposely used to target conservatives and I believe that the lie of a video causing Benghazi was intentionally pushed to forward Obama's campaign. But that isn't my question.

My question is why the Democrats want to play down these meetings within congress. My reasoning is this...if the Republicans are truly pushing these topics for political banter only, wouldn't it be in the Dems interest to be on all panels investigating this and find out the truth...for sure, and make the result unquestionable in one way or another? If the Dems are correct and this is all BS by the Republicans, wouldn't they like that to come out? Why not allow the Republicans to do whatever they want, any way they want and blow these topics to the extreme if the end result...THE TRUTH...makes them look stupid?

If it were me, and I knew that 100%...the truth is that nothing wrong was done...I would be out there helping the Republicans waste money, waste time, question everyone (even Obama) and do anything and everything they want. I would hand that to them. Then in the end...when the truth is unquestionable and investigated into the ground. I would sit back, smile and call them idiots and fools for wasting all this time and money for FAILED political gain. That is...of course...unless the truth is not what the Dems claim.

So...my question to all Dems and their supporters. Why not allow the Republicans to hang themselves? Why not make them look like fools? All you guys waste money and time so don't use that excuse...that is crap. Give me a reason to believe that you have another reason other than you not wanting the truth to come out. I will remain open minded to your argument but answer the question for me. If you are right and truth is on your side...why not allow them to fail?

This is a short reply. You know why, its not a waste of time and money. They are guilty of what is being investigated.

Forgive me if i missed something as I had to read fast..

You yourself said that you to believe the American people were lied to, so how would the truth actually hurt the Republicans? Am I missing something? The truth should help them right?

I understand where you're coming from. The whole government situation including both sides is horrible. But I don't understand the Dems position on this. Why not want to be the winner after all this is over? Unless...of course...the truth will make the Republicans the winners.

Sorry if that was confusing. Regardless what I believe...the Dems claim nothing wrong was done. If so...helping the Republicans investigate until there is no question what the truth is, would therefore make the Republicans look like fools. So...if the Dems believe what they are saying...why not prove it by investigating. If the Dems are telling the truth...letting the truth come out makes the Republicans the losers. Why wouldn't they want/do that??? Unless, of course, the Dems are lying?

How about instead of just posting partisan BS, you actually contribute more than an opinion which doesn't pertain to the topic. I mean, these stupid, nonsensical, worthless comments by shills don't actually help anyone

The republicans are after the white house and their pipeline and foreign issues, no matter what it takes. No matter who they step on, trample on or screw to get there. They have been inciting the public since Obama won and its obvious. LOL Its like I said, they got support from all sorts of folks, then spit in their supporters faces and are now still actively doing it. Those supporters then had.have nowhere to go. Right? Disenfranchised

You cannot do that in politics, you look out for your base. You don't bash them, and that's all they do. Cant be helped.

Ok, yes. That is what I was getting at, but wasn't really picking up by what you wrote. I agree with you. The unwillingness to aid in these investigations points to them being guilty. At least that's how I see it.

You didn't answer my question. Why not investigate deeply and unquestionably if they are telling a fact...a truth?

I think it ironic that so many excuse government intrusion by saying, "If you're doing nothing wrong, you have nothing to hide".

Yet, when it comes to government malfeasance, they hide, lie, and obfuscate.

OK...an example. Your neighbor accuses you of stealing his bike. He KNOWS its in your garage but he has no right to enter your garage. Wouldn't you open your garage and invite the media and everyone to watch as you prove him wrong? Unless, of course, the bike is there?

Ummm...both of the cases I mentioned involved a "crime". The IRS admitted they did something wrong and Lerner pleaded the 5th which means telling the truth incriminates her. For Benghazi...we know the video talk was a lie. So...this isn't an intrusion for no reason. This is to investigate crimes and lies.
