These products are featured in Spinoff 2013, an online publication now available that highlights commercial products created using NASA-developed technology, including some developed at the agency's Jet Propulsion Laboratory in Pasadena, Calif. Also featured in the 2013 edition is an air purification system that can sustain miners in the event of a disaster, a solar-powered vaccine refrigerator saving lives in remote areas throughout the world, and a powerful heat shield used on the first commercial spacecraft to successfully achieve orbit and return to Earth."

Sure...there will come a time our sun will explode. Before that time we need to be out of Dodge.

Our sun is not going to explode. It's too small for that.

It will swell out to engulf the all of the inner planets out to Mars's orbit but long before it does that it will have made lie on Earth impossible.

It won't happen for another 2 billion years or so and by then humanity will likely have already moved on or died out.

When you factor in the Black project money, Private contractor behind the scenes research and all the other hidden agendas; NASA is in the pocket of the pentagon. How many of those satellites in orbit are military in origin that nasa put up?

Profit will eventually be the impetus into space....not some star trek "where no man has gone before" BS.

The biggest evidence you're wrong is the fact that NASA's budget is tiny compared to the US Air Force, US Army, US Navy and Marines.

You'd think they'd fund their "space branch" a bit better.

But hey, I can't argue with a Hoaglandite. There's no arguing with insanity.
