Damn clickable Ventura background!!

That background is really grinding my gears! I have accidentally clicked it 3 times today, taking me off the page I was reading!

I dont want to see his ulgy face everytime I come to this site.
I haven't been on ATS in about a week. They keep changing things that don't need to be changed.
Adding that face in hasn't helped either.
Ohhh his arms are folded, what a tough guy, he takes a no-nonsense stance on conspiracies.
Such trash, everything he says has already been said by members here, but for some reason he gets his own time to waste all of ours.

I would expect to see all the hard work by members regurgitated by him. I would also expect him to get all the credit.

And now it is gone 3 minutes after I posted this thread. Clearly I am responsible. You may all bow down and crown me king now.

I too have clicked it, But thats kinda the point.

Was going to start a rant for the same. Everytime I try to click to the left to select the page...JESSE!!!!

I dunno, I've accidentally clicked it a few times as well. Big deal. Not like it's going to be a permanent fixture.

Seems like a pretty disrespectful rant to me. You go into another persons home and then complain about the wall paintings.

I couldn't care less what pose he uses, but it is a little insulting to assume your average ats'r is going to be impressed by such a thing.
They should use the space for stats or at least something of use to members!

ATS is a location but the members make it the home that it is.

Someone defiantly thought out the best placement position for maximum page views.

I need to think more outside the box. Thanks for teaching me another trick ATS.

I always learn a lot coming here.

Also as of right now, its gone.

Edit: Would help to say that i always click the sides of the page before i scroll. There isn't normally links there.

hahaha same here! It seems gone now.

I had no issue with the background itself, but I have to agree that it was very annoying for the whole background to be a clickable link that took me away from what I was reading at least 100 times. Thanks goes to whoever removed it.

Well, its' gone but I was going to say the only time it really got to me was when I slipped off my scroll track and clicled by accident thus losing my place in the thread I was reading. I get that they need to put Jesse somewhere, but not on the sidebar where I accidentally click on his scowling face every time I lose my scroll.



But he's gone, so I that's that.

I hope they find a better spot for him.

Yes, this is what I intended to say. I actually read the page after clicking the link, so no biggie there. Just frustrating to have it one giant link. But it certainly got page views that way, so can't fault ATS for that.

Agreed. Still it's obvious to me the owners are trying to do something good for the site and members with this. There's no need for some of the members to be making insulting comments to Jesse or how he looks or has his arms crossed, etc. Mostly that just seems ill mannered to me.

Juvenile was the word that came to mind for me.

Personally I'm kind of miffed it's gone. I was clicking it the other day and it didn't work. Now today it works, and it's gone.

LOL thought I was the only one whew.

why not just resave your ATS shortcut to a different page?
goto the NEW topic and save a shortcut instead of under the home topic..i hardly EVER see the background pics here
with exception to the inch 1/2 on either side under the advertisements

oh if you don't like where it leads you stop clicking it..easy fix..just sayin
