Asking a government entity with no law enforcement authority to be disarmed is not an unreasonable request, in my opinion.

The BLM Office of Law Enforcement & Security, headquartered in Washington, D.C., is a federal law enforcement agency of the U.S. government.

BLM Law Enforcement Rangers and Special Agents make up the law enforcement capability of the BLM. Rangers and Special Agents are located in each of the western states that have BLM lands. Law Enforcement Rangers make up the uniformed high visibility enforcement of laws. Special Agents investigate crimes against property, visitors and employees.

Their authority was granted by Congress, Title 43 of the US Code Subsection 1733 part (c), part (2).

The Secretary may authorize Federal personnel or appropriate local officials to carry out his law enforcement responsibilities with respect to the public lands and their resources.

AJ, being the kind of guy he is, could very well be blamed if violence does occur. May be a smart move for him to stay on the sidelines.

Agreed, or he could fall victim to the violence when it erupts.

Thanks for that. I was mistaken.

Bundy did ask the sheriff to have them disarmed and I do believe the sheriff would have that authority.

The last time AJ was in the news it was a black day for us all, the one time someone of use conspiracy folks got a real chance to show the sheeple what's happening he makes us come forward as a bunch of aggressive mindless delusional baboons.:

They are blocking the road and the Feds said move? Right?
SO now they are the ones breaking the law??

If so then the feds have the right duty to clear the road. But by NO MEANS shoot anyone one... Period.

THis is a bad case of who has the biggist ballz...
Not something we need to push as we all know the commie gov will not back down from this one.
They said they were backing off due to saftey, but now the RA are pushing the envelope as it were.

Then again we do NOT have the full and true story just bits from AJ, and that folks is not a solid source as we all know.

This may spark into what no one wants, I fear a hot head on either side will fark up and pull the trigger and start the war.

Well I am not willing to die over a man who has lost his permit to graze cattle and will not comply.

Thats cool, we all have to decide for ourselves what is a worthy cause and what is not.

AJ is a prime example of that guy you know who's always telling if something ever happens to you, just know I got your back, and when that moment arrives his the last person you'l see.

He makes money in misery , he sells drama. He's is claiming that its this Big Reid thing, when a poster already showed that this solar plant contract got canceled last year.

I don't really agree with the word misery, but drama is definitely accurate.
And why not slander Reid?

I believe that "public land" was once private land, Bundys, correct? It was "rezoned" (stolen) by the government, and then said government started demanding he make payments to them to use his own land.

The issue here is not as superficial as some of you are making it out to be. There is some depth here, and take off the top layer and youll see this is not about cattle grazing, its about stemming corruption and slapping back the over-reaching hand of the rogue government regime that claims to have power over The People.

This is about The People making a stand against that corruption.

I respect all those there making a stand for freedom, especially so up against armed goons with no guarantee of safety.

The people get a taste of their OWN righteous power they may have a few extra demands elsewhere in the lower 48..........

To all those supporting Bundy: Welcome to being on a watch list. The Southern Poverty Law Center just declared the Bundys to be "Domestic terrorists". Just something I overheard while watching the Ustream link. No idea if it is true yet as their website has not been updated to reflect that if it is indeed the case. Of course the SPLC declares people to be terrorists that own own big Sis does not declare as terrorists so who really cares. It is interesting though.

I support freedom, I do not support Bundy or his multi-millionaire rancher family. Pretty easy to get rich when you don't pay for feed like everyone else.

You have nailed the issue here. Government steps in and "takes" property with the flick of a pen. Government makes certain promises as to the use of the land such as "for the benefit of all" in justification of their theft. Once the land is no longer in private hands, government agencies such as EPA and BLM move in and work for the "benefit of the few" mainly their cronies who have some sort of interest in the land. It's usually to "protect" some critter or plant that one of the demi-gods in white lab coats have determined to be "endangered" or "threatened." At that point the high priests of science declare that they are above the law and move in the guys with guns. This despite that critter or plant having co-existed with land use patterns for centuries.
And for those who are yelling about this rancher "making millions" on less than a thousand head of cattle grazing in the desert---you are just showing how totally ignorant you are. For those saying, "He owes because the government says he owes." Wow! The scum holding governmental offices will always have a "reason" that they can publicize when they pull these stunts. It may be years later that their plans are revealed but you can bet there's a plan for this land somewhere that doesn't involve producing food for the people of the US.
This is really no different from the EPA shutting down oil wells all over the Dakotas a few years ago due to the "threat" of pollution despite the fact that they could not point to one well having produced one ounce of pollution.
