Breaking: Sen. Harry Reid Behind BLM Land Grab of Bundy Ranch

Although these reports are in plain view, the mainstream media has so far ignored this link.

The BLM’s official reason for encircling the Bundy family with sniper teams and helicopters was to protect the endangered desert tortoise, which the agency has previously been killing in mass due to “budget constraints.”

“A tortoise isn’t the reason why BLM is harassing a 67 year-old rancher; they want his land,” journalist Dana Loesch wrote. “The tortoise wasn’t of concern when [U.S. Senator] Harry Reid worked with BLM to literally change the boundaries of the tortoise’s habitat to accommodate the development of his top donor, Harvey Whittemore.”

Maybe you thought old-school 1930s gangsters were a thing of the past, something that could only be seen in black and white movies. Think again.

Today, the real gangsters are heading the government. And even worse, they're selling out our country to the Chinese.

This isn't about a tortoise. This isn't about grazing fees. This isn't even about just one man's rights.

This is about all of us, and more importantly, what we want America to be.

If you want to live in a country where our elected representatives continue to sell our land and dignity out from under our feet, if you want to exist in a society where the government calls in military snipers and helicopters to terrorize ranching families who refuse to kowtow to the gestapo, if you want to cower in fear and continue encouraging this kind of behavior from our so-called leaders, great. Then do nothing.

But if on the other hand you're sick of the tyranny and refuse to stand down any longer, now would be the time to let your voice be heard. Get on the phone, get on the computer, get up and into action. Make this story go viral, and flood Harry "Capone" Reid's office with the voices of the people he sold out to China.

Take five minutes of your time and do the right thing. Exercise your first amendment rights and try to stop this madness. Or tomorrow, those rights will be gone too.

How could they steal the land from Bundy when it doesn't belong to him in the first place? The land belongs to the BLM and Bundy should have paid his grazing fees and not lied about how many cows he had. Not to mention Bundy never had the right to graze in the Gold Butte area.

The man has used the land for gracing for generations, now is off limits because an excuse of protecting one particular wild life, now the truth comes out, those in power have the muscle and the money to push away their agendas because they are filling out their pockets with private interest money and it doesn't matter to whom they are selling themselves along with our nations land as long as somebody is paying for the favors and the worst is that they have not scrupulous about killing those that get in their way if needed

Politicians are becoming the most despicable terrorist in this nation specially when they can send their goons under their command after American citizens.

I want to know why the FBI dropped their criminal investigation of Reid and another state official. I think his days in office are numbered as well. Even state officials and their Federal reps are disgusted by the manner in which the BLM has conducted themselves.

It's not about BLM, tortoises, past dues ( due to bull# rezoning), It's all about how disgustingly corrupt this all is! Re-zone land to get people off (American citizens) then sell it to the Chinese all the while Reid is more likely than not getting some form of payment. It's all about the USA being hijacked by criminals, so forget the talking points and weak arguments, this is about corruption.

County officials have said that they were so thrilled to recruit a company to the area, with the prospect of thousands of new local jobs, that they were eager to negotiate. ENN is headed by Chinese energy tycoon Wang Yusuo, who made a fortune estimated by Forbes at $2.2 billion distributing natural gas in China. Wang escorted Reid and a delegation of nine other U.S. senators on a tour of the company's clean energy operations in Langfang, and Reid featured Wang as a speaker at his 4th annual National Clean Energy Summit in Las Vegas last year.

So bottom line this is a "land grab" by China and Reid Orchestrated the whole thing!! What an outstanding patriot!

Reid never expected Bundy not to sell out and when he wouldn't that is when China took over the whole ordeal! Reid needs to rot in a hole somewhere!!!

Bunkerville, Nevada rancher Cliven Bundy had issued the threat in response to a long-postponed confiscation of his cattle, which he's been grazing illegally on publicly owned Mojave desert land around Gold Butte in Clark County, Nevada since 1993.

As many as 1,000 cattle have been counted illegally grazing on the land in years past, though Bundy claims he only owns 500 head.

He has been over grazing publicly owned land without a permit for more than 20 years. There is no land grab as it was never Bundy's land to begin with.

In 1998, five years after Bundy began to refuse to pay his publicly subsidized grazing fees in 1993, the BLM finally revoked his grazing permit for failure to pay those fees. Clark County then bought out that permit for $375,000 and retired them permanently to protect the desert tortoise under the Clark County Multiple Species Habitat Conservation Plan.

Sounds like he should have simply paid for the permit. Could have saved a whole lot of trouble.

Cliven Bundy even admits that this is public land and not his.

"I have raised cattle on that land, which is public land for the people of Clark County, all my life."

Where is your proof that public land is being sold? I would be interested in reading from a source other than Infowars or Before its News. I don't trust Alex Jones nor anything found on that site. There has been a lot of misinformation and outright lies regarding this issue. What we need is reliable information.

The Bureau of Land Management does have a new solar energy program. BLM Solar

How much of this land is “Bundy’s”, i.e. the land he has been permitted to use in the past? Where is the projected solar farm going to be (The BLM manages a whole lot of land in that part of the country) Where is the proof that the BLM are ‘selling’ land, or are they just granting permits?

I just read it, thank you. I’m still trying to find out any information about land being sold as the OP is claiming. What I have found is that there is no land grab. At best there is a property line dispute between the BLM and the Bundys due to a river that naturally rerouted its course.

So far Reuters is the only news source? Something I did find is a whole lot of people that are not happy with Harry Reid, to put it mildly... LOL.

The part I don’t understand is why sell the land? Why not issue usage permits like they have done in the past? So ENN energy is the only company interested in this land for solar energy?

Laughlin, Nevada and Gold Butte are two different areas. Lake Mead National recreation area and the Colorado River separate these two areas as well as Las Vegas. These two stories appear to be mixing together. I'm getting tired and I maybe I missed it, how are these two stories connected again?

Devino is correct.

The article states the solar plant is located SOUTH of Las Vegas. Bundy Ranch is NORTH EAST of Las Vegas.

They have sold no land to the Chinese if anything they leased the land just like they do to the oil companies. Also Bundy never had the right to even be in the Gold Butte area.

Hi guys. I want to clear up some confusion about locations of proposed solar generation facilities and the companies involved.

Renewable Energy in Southern Nevada

First, there is the Silver State Solar South project, located off I-15 southwest of Las Vegas, contracted with First Solar.

Silver State Solar Power South, LLC, a subsidiary of First Solar Development, Inc. has submitted an application for the construction, operation, and maintenance of a solar energy generation site on public lands adjacent to the town of Primm, Nevada (north of the California/Nevada border).

First Solar is an American company publically traded on the NASDAQ. In October of 2013, they sold the Silver State Solar South project to another publically traded American firm, NextEra Energy.

No Chinese firms involved with this southern Nevada project directly, unless they are majority shareholders of NextEra, which I don't have information on.

The second proposed solar generation plant is the Dry Lake Solar Energy Zone, which is NE of Las Vegas, closer to the Bundy Ranch (but still about 30 miles away). On 14 March, 2014, the BLM announced that it is accepting preliminary right-of-way (ROW) applications and expressions of interest from interested parties for conducting a solar competitive auction on the 5,717–acre Dry Lake Solar Energy Zone in Clark County, Nevada.

Here is where it gets tricky:

Once the 30 day notice period closes, the BLM will review all submissions from interested parties to see if other companies are interested in developing solar energy in these areas. If the BLM determines that sufficient competition exists, it may use a competitive bidding process, consistent with its regulations, to select a preferred applicant in the Solar Energy Zone.

The phrasing makes it sound as if at least one company has already "expressed interest"--but they don't name one.

Is it the rumored Chinese company, or a poorly worded announcement?

In any event, there is no contract to build at the Dry Lake site as of today.

OMG, all this fuss about Reid and the Chinese company was about Nothing! Well, not nothing--he is still a scumbag for not pushing for an American company to build a solar plant.

The Chinese contract was terminated last year.

I am surprised how many Americans seem to support a guy making money off of the land they pay for with their taxes while he has basically never paid for the right to use this public land. Securing a "lease" on a house and never paying it does not give you the right to keep living in it just because you "have for years without complaint". The same goes for land. That grazing money is to offset your taxes. Just curious, what gives? He is stealing our money as well as making his own money exploiting our land. If someone was making money logging public land for decades without paying for it, there would be outrage. How is free cattle grazing any different?
