Not all pooh is suitable fertiliser without first being processed. Dog pooh will kill grass, initially at least. Besides, there is Toxocariasis to consider...

To the OP...as one caretaker to another...I care for a church, and can assure you that there are far worse 'dos' to deal with than the doggy kind...and on that, I shall say no more.
