My personal Fox News nightmare: Inside a month of self-induced torture

Understand this...most every "news" channel or show is STATE RUN MEDIA. No different than "Baghdad Bob" from the Iraq war yelling how Iraq is driving off the US military as bombs fell behind him. They are tools of the dems, liberals and left and KNOWING LIE about the truth. They are no different that N. Korea, Russia, etc. media.

FoxNews, as much as it would be a bad news station if the others were fair, is the only truth out there in that they DON'T blindly support the Obama run socialist agenda of ruling the people and destroying the Constitution.

Fox News is to blame for the lack of conservatism in conservative policy. They were instrumental in supporting and passing all of Bush's big government, big spending, anti freedom policies. Unfortunately FOX caters to people who might be considered lower IQ which is why Fox viewers don't realize that Fox is the reason that conservatism always seems to be a hypocritical ideology that says one thing and practices another.

Fox has higher ratings because it's part if the basic standard cable package that everyone gets when they order cable where other shows require a package upgrade.thats why it's always the only one available in hotels and while you're waiting to have your oil changed.

Conservatives live in a media bubble that is termed by many as a form of epistemic closure. They ignore anything that their group doesn't tell them and cannot be reasoned with.

The pool of actual conservatives in the USA appears to be shrinking. So this is not a situation that will last forever. At least not with as much influence as it has for the last few decades.

I love how people will use Salon as a type of news source, there could be nothing further from the truth. Attacking the last nationwide channel that challenges this regime, and even then not as much as they should is the real story. I now get most of my news from the Daily U.K. We can no longer trust any news network in this country. Breitbart.com seems to be the best as far as reporting the facts, with links to the proof in what they report. Everyone should be watching Comcast as they are swallowing up Time/Warner to create the largest propaganda network in the USA, meanwhile charging their customers for the misinformation.

Fox News viewers are not very intelligent provided they actually want conservative policies. All Fox news does is support GOP policy whether or not that policy is conservative, you have to be stupid not to understand that.

Republicans supporting conservative policies are no less intelligent than Liberals Democrats supporting liberal policies.

Fox and its friends seem to have become so influential and all-encompassing that it is actually creating an entirely separate version of reality in the minds of its most loyal viewers, one that with increasing frequency doesn’t match reality.

Exactly what I have been saying. Fox has it's own version of reality..and all conservatives seem to live there.

Yep, this is what Jon Stewart called people on BS mountain.

They have their own version of reality and are unable to see anything else.

I feel like ATS didn't used to be so fooled by the left/right paradigm. I feel like every time I come on here there is some topic bashing either side of the aisle (for some reason it's usually left bashing right.) ATS was a place to me that was always ABOVE this petty squabbling. It's a real shame.

Salon is the same news source that said the Boston bombers should be an angry white tea party member, just another super-liberal news source with a chip on its shoulder. I love how Fox is still targeted these days even though they are literally THE only channel on television (besides a few religious ones I guess) with a conservative slant - it's like the left isn't happy enough having the rest of cable television at their disposal. Oh well, I guess this is just more of the left's tolerance in action!
