I'm wonder how much wailing and gnashing of teeth will happen if a the GOP take the White House and Congress in the upcoming elections and the ACA is repealed and revised?

I bet it will be EPIC!

lol
I bet they don't repeal the mandate! Ya they might let the businesses off the hook they might even scale back the medicaid some but the mandate came from the republican side anyways. I bet we get to live with that a long time or maybe not. I guess it's possible that the whole thing will blow up simply because the people cannot get any more blood out of their rocks!

Yea, I don't see the ACA ever going away either, though I wish it would. The GOP will just revise it and it will still be a disaster of some sort.

This thing is going to be a ball and chain for a looooong time.

so you took from one who had so another could have!! how many people who really needed their insurance are finding themselves without insurance because of obamacare and are suffering because of it.
For one brave lady of course!!
There are
always has been
and always will be
brave men ladies and children that will end up going without in this country since we seem not to address the main problems and instead cater to the different groups! The lord giveth and the lord taketh away! And then what he giveth he takes away again and then gives to those he originally taketh from! and around and around the circle goes...

I agree.. it wont be repealed. Left-right.. doesnt matter who "takes" the white house, they are the same and are in bed with the SAME people. Watching the repubs and dems fight is sorta like Monday Night Raw.. when the cameras are off and no one is looking.. the "enemies" are buddies and moving in the same direction. In this instance our left and right are in bed with the same folks and always have been : insurance companies and pharma. The ACA aka slick bail out .. well you can bet your "free healthcare" that it wont be repealed.
Im sure they will meddle with it, call it a repeal or significant change, but you know that in the end the insurance companies will be of much more importance to the white house and congress than ANY citizen or "class". There was a completely different way to do this that BOTH sides refused to even consider. Its easier to rob people with mandates and laws than do what is in the best interests of more than just themselves and their associates.

Americans of both flavors ( left or right) and everyone in between should be PISSED OFF. We ALL are being screwed.. the recipients just havent realized it just yet. Seems we are so in love with arguing and so pathologically focused on being right that we cant seem to get together on things that effect ALL "sides" adversely. These arent sports teams that we are rooting for from the sidelines..... this is US against THEM. Too bad so many in the "us" category are too ignorant to think past what they are told to think...

Gawd, you guys are cracking me up.

Please, oh please...right wingers...stop trying to put words in mouths of left wing thinkers.
You, just, don't, get, it...never will, nada, nope.

Dude this whole thread was started so a Democrat could label and put words in the mouths of anyone who doesn't like Obamacare, which he pigeonholed the whole lot under one label, Republican. Why do you think it is surprising that people would get offended and do the same back?

I know how in your minds in all sounds logic but, you are are sooooo far off it's unbearably ridicule.

It's ok that you will be against me and not understand me, you can't. But I understand you all very well.
Predictable while desperating at the same time...oh well.

You understand us as much as we understand you. Don't tell us how we think and understand things.

Nope, we can't force a laws on you no matter how rational, positive and evolutionary they may be.
No wonder this human kind thing is going nowhere, I hope I won't end up on the planet of the apes next life.

Show me an example of a rational, positive and evolutionary law that the Democrats are pushing first. Where's the bills to end corporation subsidies? To stop the war on drugs? Improve our infrastructure? To stop funding every other country in the world accept ours? Measure to reduce fraud and corruption in the government? Campaign finance reform?

All I see from the Democrats is more of the same as the Republicans, just different rhetoric. Join us or be ridiculed and mandated into servitude.

Obama care sucks, it has nothing to do with left wing thinking when you scratch the surface. Stop thinking that left wingers like Obama care or that every left wing thinker is an extremist.

Awesome, at least one Democrat understands rationality, but with this said, what was the point of the previous sentence? Where are these rational, positive, and evolutionary laws at?

You can stop baring with me after this post, I know this place has been invaded by kids taping each other in the back.

Duh. Did you read the name of the forum you are in before clicking on the link on the Recent Posts page? It's called the political mud-pit for a reason. Personally, I think it just furthers the spreading of bad information and poor arguing techniques, but it shows a much better way of handling something that is frowned upon. Instead of forcefully enacting compliance, the moderators created a separate area for it to take place so that it can be minimized elsewhere. There's an idea that the government, and especially liberals, could take a cue from. Stop forcing people to do things and implement alternative solutions that make people WANT to comply instead of forcing them to. Forcing someone to do something, even if it is the right thing, creates natural resistance. It makes people who otherwise would have complied willingly not comply. The Prohibition and war on drugs are two good examples of this since usage rates have skyrocketed while these things were and are illegal.

????????WORKING???????????

Oh, right . . . IT IS

1. Working at shredding the health care system wholesale
2. Working at increasing the tax burden very significantly--particularly destructively on the middle class and family owned businesses.

3. Working at increasing the speed of the utter destruction of the US of A, our values and our freedoms.
4. Working at hastening the day when all will be REQUIRED to be injected with the chip ID--increasing tyranny dramatically.

5. Working at increasing the number of middle class family and business bankruptcies
6. Working at causing thousands of MD's to give up and retire way early--further causing a health care crisis and crunch.

7. Working at giving an illusion that the genocidal ruthless FEDs and globalist oligarchy care more than a gnat's fart's worth about the "useless eaters" and "the little people" in Kissinger's and Shrillery's terms.

8. Working at making millions more individuals all the more helplessly DEPENDENT on the globalist machine for their very existence and well being.

9. Working at increasing the utter draconian grasp of the FEDs, the globalist machine etc. via the tax system.

10. Hastening the day when the USA is totally in ruin and literal ashes . . . in all of recorded history, NO civilization has long survived when it's taxation reached more than 30% for any significant duration of time. IIRC, I just noted on ATS an article saying the total tax burden on Americans was now more than 60%.

11. Working at hastening the day when the elderly will be more quickly and at younger ages turned into the current equivalent of SOYLENT GREEN. Those past 70 can already no longer have or count on a variety of relatively safe and effective procedures enabling a significant quality of life many more years. But noooooooooooooooo . . . as genocidal murdering globalist Jacques Cousteau said [see link below], we have to kill an additional 350,000 people PER DAY for the good of the planet.

. . . #139 . . . . The bodies of these world eco-criminals should be commercially yielded for reintroduction in the world's natural systemic food and nutrient chains [sounds like SOYLENT GREEN, to me!], in order to restore a more natural biological balance and order to our Sacred Earth." -- Jacques Cousteau, in his address to the Earth Summit in Rio de Janeiro, 1992.

.

129."It's terrible to have to say this. World population must be stabilized and to do that we must eliminate 350,000 people per day" Jacques-Yves Cousteau, oceanographer and humanist, The UNESCO Courier, Nov. 1991, page 13
.

130."The commitment of government to deal with the population issue is of course essential...There are many ways to make the death rate Increase." Robert McNamara, Secretary of Defense, New Solidarity, March 30, 1981

twoday.net...

Nevertheless, the

--willfully blind
--terminally ignorant
--utterly clueless
--thoroughly globalist brainwashed sheeple
--paid globalist stooges
--brain drugged, stoned social parasites
--et al

WILL NO DOUBT continue to

sing the praises of the pathological liar, Narcissist In Chief, Destroyer in Chief, Communist O'Thuga.

No surprise there.

Evidently the OP would be cheering the Eloi on into the Caverns of the Morlachs for dinner . . . as the main course . . . foolishly forgetting how likely it is that the OP will be among the earliest to the death camps . . . Tyranny's like that. They know they CANNOT TRUST their early supporters to survive into the new regime. Anyone ignorant and clueless enough to support such tyranny is just too untrustworthy to help run it. So, history has demonstrated that such early supporters are among the first to the firing squad, guillotine, death camps.

I have a wild imagination. I can see it now.. We all will be paying out the arse for our insurance. We will get yearly letters in the mail telling us it's time for our yearly checkup with an appt time and date. Don't think about not going it's mandatory. Once there the doctor will run a ton of test and come back with an assortment of problems that not only have you never heard of but you never knew you were ill! You felt great!! Then he will proceed to start typing in the ton of perscriptions. Don't think about not buying them oh no!! It's mandatory after all if they treat you before the problems become noticable to you it will cost less! And well make sure you take them they will know if you haven't.
And if they have found you undesirable in the past year there will probably be arsenic or something being perscribed!

And if you pays has dropped to the extent that you have no money to pay for the perscriptions no need to worry!! There's a bank right in the drugstore willing to give you a loan!!

I have a very wild imagination but ya know I am kind of afraid that on one level or another at least some of this will become reality!

I do not know how you think it is working. I will not dispute the numbers or bs that is being put out for the world to see. I will only comment from a factual basis. I have Obamacare. The insurance is crap. I have two choices a policy with a $6500 deductible or a policy with a $12700 deductible. Also, I have a $469 premium payment. So the bottom line is I will pay out $12128 before I get 60% of my first generic aspirin paid for by insurance. How exactly is that insurance and how is that working. It has to be the worst coverage on the planet. I have been trying to get my son into his primary care physician or PCP. Only problem is he no longer accepts any patients with my insurance. I called the carrier and it has been 3 days and they cannot find a doctor that will accept the Obamacare insurance. This is CRAP COVERAGE. So take your post sand shove it!!!

Well today RAND stated over 9 million people have gained health insurance thanks to Obamacare.

Then you have a red state stating this: Obamacare Headline in Rural Arkansas

In a real life example of how Obamacare is changing everything, our local newspaper ran an article about the closing of the 9th Street Ministry Medical Clinic.

"It was announced last week that 9th Street Ministries will be concluding their medical clinic mission, which had been ongoing monthly to offer free medical services to those in need since first starting in 1998. The final day for the medical clinic will be Thursday, April 24, and that will conclude the mission that has been in place for almost 16 years."

The article tells how the ministry has been operating once a month for years to give people healthcare on a first come, first served basis. This care was provided by volunteers. My mother actually volunteered at the clinic and they would see as many as 300 a day. Many of these people would wait all day for the chance to see a doctor. Most of the patients were people who could not afford to see a doctor, but were not eligible for medicaid or medicare. Why would they close this clinic down?

"We’ve gone from seeing around 300 people a month on a regular basis, but as people were enrolling in Obamacare, the numbers we were seeing have dropped. We were down to 80 people that came through the medical clinic in February, all the way down to three people at the medical clinic in March. Our services won’t be needed anymore, and this will conclude our mission.”

We live in one of the most conservative places in Arkansas. The Repub's want to tell those people that once a month waiting all day for a chance to see a doctor was good enough. Thankfully, President Obama did not think so.

Well, "Dissent" is only Patriotic when they do it. Didn't you get the memo. The rest of us have been branded all sorts of vile names for "dissenting".

You know it's a one way street to the progressives, and if you don't get out of the way or toe the line, you'll get run over.

They're the only group of people I actively despise. I don't like slavemasters nor bullies and they rank right down there with that pack.

Yes, dissenting is patriotic. Thinking for yourself is a great thing.

But when you take talking points from FOX News and have THEM make your opinion FOR you, that's not being patriotic. That's just being a corporate tool.

So, another left of center polling and a rural poor people story is proof it's working? I don't think so. The ACA is hurting me financially and my family as well. To be truthful, I really don't care about those people down south at the moment. I do however care about my family and me.

So they are getting cheap and probably crappy healthcare while I now have to juggle bills to pay for mine when I didn't before. That just doesn't make sense.

Selfish, maybe. But this affects me directly, so yes, I'm pissed. I've worked hard all my life to provide and now it is being taken away to pay for some one who was to lazy to do so.

This thing is a disaster.

Please stop with the Fox News stuff. You lose credibility bringing that out. Many of us are talking from personal experience. We don't need FOX, MSNBC or any other MSM outlet to tell us how we feel. We are feeling screwed over, plain and simple. Having something forced down our throats that was poorly thought out and badly implimented.

I'm sure that everyone of us would like to see people helped in a time of need. But the ACA is a farce. It will destroy what little middle class we have. Then we really will have the have's and have-nots. There will be no in-between that the middle class currently holds.

And why would the government monitor pap smears and prostate exams?

I would like to know, I'm sure you'll tell me too

You can't possibly be that slow. Surely you don't think that the government would have absolutely no access to the records of the services they are providing to the people.

Do you think they are going to pay for everything and not monitor what it is being spent on?

How do you think they know whether your children who attend public schools have their current vaccines if they received them at the State funded Health Dept?

I'm sure you'll tell me it's just a fluke.

That's the thing, you are assuming that you are paying for someone else's laziness.

Instead of being pissed off at the insurance companies that are taking advantage of this. Don't you see?

It's funny, I work over 50 hours a week making just a smidge over minimum wage for myself and my son to live on. Am I lazy? I not only have to work a full time job but have to be a parent too when I get home. But, people like you assume that I'm lazy. I just don't get the vitriol.

Just because a person is poor, doesn't mean they are lazy. And just because the health insurance company is ripping you off doesn't mean it's the ACA's fault.

Why aren't conservatives freaking out on the health insurance companies demanding they lower their rates? Hell, they've been given a ton of new customers, you think they would lower the cost per customer knowing they are going to make a killing anyway.

Oh, that's right, cause making billions upon billions of dollars to conservatives is the holy grail. And we can't have conservatives getting mad at "Job Creators" can we? Oh no, cause of you give rich people enough money they somehow become less greedy and start trickling down upon their loyal worshipers more money instead of just keeping it for themselves.

They clearly do.

The Federal Data Services Hub (Hub), a component of the health insurance exchanges created by Obamacare, connects seven different government agencies and establish new access points to the sensitive personal information of the American public.

www.usatoday.com...

The data hub will contain volumes of Americans' personal information and will be shared among numerous federal agencies, including the IRS, the Department of Health and Human Services, the Department of Justice and the Department of Homeland Security, as well as state governments. It will be used and accessed by thousands of bureaucrats as they seek to enroll people in the ObamaCare exchanges.

www.usatoday.com...

I remember how 'upset' people were about the NSA, and it's violations in to Americans privacy.

With the 'affordable' Care Act, and its' 'data hub' that is what the NSA does on steroids.

But for some odd reasons they don't care about it.

What a crazy snippin world we live in.
