ok, screw it, i'm calling shill...
either that or uber troll...
As I said before, some selfish people just refuse to see the harm this law is doing.
As long as they get theirs, screw everyone else.
Lol that's what libs have always claimed about conservatives.
Charlene Dill might still be alive today had she been able to get the healthcare she needed.
A resident of Florida making $9,000 per year, Dill found herself victim to the "coverage gap." Because Florida is one of the many states that has opted out of expanding Obamacare Medicaid coverage, Dill neither qualified for a public Medicaid plan nor the government subsidies offered to those who can afford to buy a private health plan. As a result, the 32-year-old mother succumbed to her heart condition, which she took medication for, but could not afford the tests to monitor.

Sounds like a winner to me!

So..........? Are we done here?

The funny thing is the people who are complaining about it the most now are the people who it was " designed" for. I just talked to one of my friends the other day who supported The affordable care act before it got put through and guess what? He hates it now because he has to drop 100 dollars a month on insurance for his daughter and him. Hes a single dad and is already behind on rent and other bills.
I love how the OP thinks that by lowering the amount of people uncovered by 3-5% shows that this has been a success, the problem is that it was supposed to eliminate uncovered people. Now those 10-15% that aren't covered are going to be fined because the US government says its illegal to not have health insurance.

The ACA is working? I suppose if you call the ACA what it resembles, then maybe it is. The ACA is just an automatic poop throwing monkey. And those that think it is working have a fetish for that kind of thing. Obama doesn't even bother to tell you it's raining either. He's too busy laughing about the whole thing..

Wow, what was that statistic again? 32 million adults in the US who can't read. Shame that.

Because = Cause of
Florida, the cause of Dill neither qualifying for a public Medicaid plan, ...

HauntWokI'm actually quite sick and tired of trying to talk to these people on a reasonable level, they don't have a reasonable level and frankly I have little time to even try with these people anymore. And frankly the country should be fed up with them as well and call them all out for what they truly are.
I feel that way about both parties much of the time. I think the 2 party system may be a bit broken at this point.

But of course, i'm just a shill, and a troll after all.

Yes, there has been a discussion, there has been a lot of back and forth, with people pointing out facts, and opinions. There's also been a lot of name calling. A lot towards me personally, while I kept it towards a political ideology itself for the most part.
It's ok though, that was the point of this thread, to show people for who they really are.
I said in the OP that the ACA isn't perfect and has a lot of work to go. I'm not denying that there are indeed problems. My only claim is that it's better than what it was. Not perfect mind you, better.
Misdirected anger appears to be the hallmark of the conservative agenda.
Can't be mad at those "Job Creators" now can we? Oh heaven forfend. The most holy "Job Creators" must always be protected at all costs. Because as we all know, if you worship the most holy "Job Creators" enough and offer them sacrifices of money. They eventually get full and trickle down upon their true worshipers blessings and fortune.
So, in true conservative fashion. We the People handed over to these same "Job Creators" an offering in the form of the ACA. Millions of people getting health care coverage through private businesses. And lo, the most holy "Job Creators" looked upon the offering and truly were pleased. Now, that they have slaked their thirst for money, the blessings of the most holy "Job Creators" must be forthcoming right?
What? No? Tell me it isn't so? Tell me that they had their fill of our offerings and blessed the masses with cheaper insurance rates? No? Well, can't be offended at the most holy "Job Creators" now can we? No, can't do that. It must be those evil liberals that did this. They don't worship the most holy "Job Creators" like conservatives do. It is their failure that the most holy "Job Creators" have rejected our offering.
Misplaced anger. As I said.
Couldn't we as a people go to these insurance companies and say "Whoa there buddy, you got a sweet deal here folks. Time to get to doing that thing we call competitive business, start offering up some discounts, savings, more value for the money."
Cause of course we couldn't possibly regulate this, you know, ask our representatives to force insurance companies to lower their rates. Because the health care lobby would never allow that.
But ya know what? Be angry at me personally, because it's all MY fault after all. Oh please, call me shill, call me troll, because after all, I'm the one you're really mad at. How dare I point out the reality of the situation? How awful of me to show how the extreme right wing is freaking the hell out over the ACA and it's misguided and misplaced anger is towards this law and the problems with it isn't the law's fault, or this administrations fault, but directly the fault of the health care lobby. Who despite having a ton of new people on the rolls somehow doesn't understand that maybe they should lower their rates to something reasonable.
But of course, i'm just a shill, and a troll after all.
