I have to start this thread out of sheer excitement, even though I don't have full details yet. I will flesh this out as I get information, and hopefully it will end up being a good thread. Here goes.

I have a good friend - we dated briefly about a year ago - her sister works in the film industry here in New Mexico. I am not going to give too many details about her in order to protect her identity but think about the big hit series filmed in NM and other big film and TV projects. Chances are she has been on the crew of those shows and movies.

So I am having an email conversation with my friend, and she's complaining about being tired. I asked her why and she tells me that her sister came to her house the night before, very upset, crying and talking til all hours. I asked her why - I assumed she was having man trouble or something, but no.

Apparently her sister has been working on a crew of a documentary, shooting in Dulce. She is scared and upset because as my friend put it, "She thinks she had a UFO experience".

She "thinks" she had?? This statement to me is more interesting than a straight-up UFO sighting. She is scared and confused, which leads me to believe that something real happened that she cannot get her mind around.

I am in the process of getting more information, and I am going to try to get together with them and find out more. But so far, very compelling because these women are straight shooters and they have no interest in this stuff as far as I know.

Stay tuned.

My first question is why she is crying about it?

I have had a U.F.O. experience myself, but never felt the need to weep about it. Did she get abducted, or witness something traumatizing?

The base at Dulce was deliberately destroyed but there are others in the neighboring area.
Find out what happened, I am very interested for personal reasons. The triangle (NM, Nevada, Wyoming) is a treasure trove of secrets. I was working in Gallup,NM living in ABQ for several years.

I don't know.. that's why I said it was very compelling. I have a feeling it is something like that. This woman has traveled all over the world to crew film projects in sometimes inhospitable places and I would think she can handle adversity.

I have seen one also - a daylight sighting up close. It was exciting and I remember it vividly even though it was many years ago.

I live south of Dulce. I'll run up there and check things out. Might also get a little fishin in at the San Juan.

Despite having seen a UFO myself, and having an open mind, I still tend heavily toward skepticism because there is seldom any proof other than eyewitness testimony with regard to UFO sightings. I summarily dismiss "lights in the night sky" sightings on principle. I can't say that I necessarily believe that there is/was a base at Dulce, but if this story turns into something convincing, it will certainly ratchet down my personal skepticism about the whole Dulce Base thing.

Do they know you're into this stuff ?
You don't think they could be having a bit of fun ? , the legend of Dulce is well known and adds a bit more spice to the alleged sighting.
If she'd said she'd been into some secret underground base then cool but a UFO sighting can be seen anywhere and could be anything I don't see why she would be scared.

Not everyone thinks the thought of UFO's exciting. I am assuming she never really put much thought into UFO's like we do here on ATS. For some people the thought of something mysterious and unexplainable happening to them is quite a scary and traumatizing thought.

If you run into 'THEM" over there could you ask them "What's the plan"?

I have spent a lot of time in Dulce, fishing, camping/Hiking, gambling in the casino and visiting friends on the rez and have never seen any highstrangeness while there.

However, north of Dulce is the San Luis valley of S.Colo. invairabley something happens that elicits a WTF moment. Strangest place I have ever been to. Perhaps I should offer guided tours. In my past ATS incarnation; I offered skeptics of all flavors a chance to get up close and personal with the valley's weirdness; not one took me up on my offer. Skeptics....all hat, no cattle!

I report back as soon as I get up there.

Update: Just got an email...

Wow, so you know about this UFO-Dulce connection. This is the first I have heard about it. The documentary is being done by a group from the UK. Interviews were set up with the locals who have had UFO/alien experiences. Those interviews were filmed last week. She also worked as the (redacted) during filming. She is still at my place, working on stuff now. I think she should write her personal UFO experience down in detail and I'll FWD it to you. It just happened on Friday.

I redacted some information to protect her identity, I hope you understand. I asked if I could sit down with them and talk about it. Hopefully the next day or so I will have a nice account of what happened.

argh, i do wish people who create threads to tell us an interesting story would wait and not post the thread until after they actually have the story to post, though i am interested to hear this tale, it is frustrating to have to recheck the thread every chance i get surfing through all the posts trying to find any more by the op seaking the final story promised in the first post, if only that story simply would be in the first post.

Hmm. A documentary being filmed in Dulce? Is it by chance ET Related? The first thing I think of is the producers planning an "event" to occur whilst filming to get a more candid reaction from the unsuspecting crew.

I would agree. I give them credit though for admitting to being excited though.

That thought certainly crossed my mind. You'd have to have a sizable budget to pull off a hoax effective enough to reduce your crew to tears, however.

I'm sure it is UFO related, there is nothing otherwise interesting about Dulce.

Yes, I knew it would frustrate some but I felt like I had to start the thread and add to it as I learned details. Imagine how I feel - she's telling me tidbits here and there while I want to drive to her house and grill the heck out of her sister. Trying to play it cool so I get as much info as possible.
