At least 4 people in the community of Evergreen, Colorado see the same luminous object and document it in the following video/photos as it moves through the area.
One year later were all still trying to figure out what it is so I post this vid here and maybe someone at ATS has an answer?

Pretty interesting video, OP. To me it kind of looks like the anomaly is being viewed from behind a windshield or screen of sorts, creating a glare type effect. It would've been really nice if the person who recorded the footage panned out so we can see where he was shooting the video from to debunk this :-( Regardless, SnF for a cool clip I've never seen before :-D

Very interesting video and pics. Never seen nor heard of it before, but to have multiple cameras on it makes it that much more interesting being that the object never changes in intensity or size from any of the angles. The movement of whatever it is shown from the video is interesting too. I don't even have a guess as to what it could be, which I usually do. Nice post!

Maybe Thor opening a rift to come through?

edit on 4/8/14 by Vasa Croe because: (no reason given)

I'll buy that---sun refracting off ice crystals.

But why then would it be straight up and down and not slanted in the direction of the light source, the winter sun? and since photos were taken from three different angles by 3 different persons wouldn't they each have a different slant???

Not trying to be a 'Smart-a**' here... I mean I just don't get it I guess?

I'd be willing to bet that the sun is directly behind the "object" in all of the photos/videos. I think we are seeing a weather phenomenon, nothing more. Ground-level sun dogs, basically.

I think it has something to do with the shape of the ice crystals. Don't quote me on that, though.

Yup. The fact that it is precisely lined up with the sun should be a clue. But apparently not good enough for some people.

Honestly, though - I think if you waited a few more seconds, you'd see this thing replaced by Captain Kirk. I don't think he'd appreciate being beamed down 30 feet off the ground. Someone in the transporter room is going to get fired.

But it wasn't lined up with the sun---
Solar Angle for Feb is 40 degrees
but this light source is like a perfect 90---?

my question is why the discrepancy?

I don't think it is a sun dog but I do find it interesting that the video was uploaded a year ago and is the only video on the channel , I think it's CGI and quite well done.

Sorry. That's what I meant by lined up. In the proper alignment. Sun dogs happen at a perfect 90 degrees.

Kind of like what happens when you get a sun flare in a camera lens kind of deal.

I dunno.....

Firefly orgy?

Seriously though.....is there any documentation of this and the other witnesses, other than this video? If not, then it could be a hoax

Might be that this story got sidelined when just
a few months later Evergreen was hit by the same floods that wiped out Bolder.
Flooding photos

Be kind of weird it this was like a pre-flood warning kind of deal, don't ya think?

So exactly where is it aligned with the sun here?

Not claiming it's anything but an unknown and very interesting. However I also think it's very different than a sun dog. A sun dog does not form in close proximity and is a false perception of light being refracted thru the distant atmosphere. This is a localized occurrence and that is clear to see. The camera is actually pointed down at this phenomena with trees be hid it. Now you want to claim it's a dust devil made from ice crystals? I can see it being that. It's not a sun dog.
