anyway, I live in a really bad neighborhood and I am sitting here listening to Allah's songs blasting way out loud.

LOL I suppose it is Saturday night and maybe they are having a party? wow it is really loud. I will not be surprised if I hear gun shots and the police choppers flying soon.The music is at least two streets from me so you can figure how loud it is.

Are you sure it's music and not their call to prayer?

Is it fast beat, or kinda slow and outstretched?

na it is not a prayer... it is music and must be one heck of a shin dig cos I can even smell what they are cooking.

I have just put my stereo on really loud so I don't have to listen to it. Pity the People who live next door to them.

my Tele volume is on 100 which is the maximum it can go and I can still hear their music two streets away so that will give you some idea how loud it is.

with all due respect, if music can be heard 2 streets away then that is way too loud and my TV volume cannot compete. I respect their religion but do we have to listen to it?

if they keep it up, I reckon there will be a jihad in the neighborhood.

I have put Metallica on full volume. At least that is blocking out their music.

Try Dimmu Borgir. I would recommend the Deathcult Armageddon album. It's ferocity and pace will drown most things in impenetrable walls of dark, majestic violence.

I remember I was once dragged to horrid little club in town, where only the worst examples of electronic music were played, and where only the worst examples of pig ignorant human waste were to be seen, gyrating against one another, and sharing bodily fluid with total abandon. In order to survive without having to murder several hundred people, I put in my earphones, and listened to Dimmu.

I spent the evening wandering about with the regulation psycho grin on my face, and freaking out the rest of the room!

Last week I reported my next door neighbour to the landlord for slamming his flat door (why do people do that?).

But it's minuscule compared with what you have to put up with.

Not necessarily. When you have to get up early the next morning or you have a small child, having neighbors who want to blast music you don't even like so loudly that you can't even hardly hear your own TV or music ... or sleep .... or get your child off to bed ... is annoying. Wanting to go to the party has nothing to do with it.
