Well it's starting.

Venezuela is now taking fingerprints and issuing new ID cards to people and limiting grocery sales !!!

The government there claims hoarding is the problem and they even passed a law last year against hoarding.

The author of this article is insinuating that the U.S. may be next with something like what is happening in Venezuela and offers a checklist to prepare yourself.

Startling and wild.

What if you were forced to “register” in order to buy groceries? And what if, through that registration, the food you bought could be tracked and quantities could be limited?

That’s exactly the plan in Venezuela right now. The AP reports that in an effort to crack down on “hoarding” that ID cards will be issued to families. These will have to be presented before foodstuffs can be purchased.

President Nicolas Maduro’s administration says the cards to track families’ purchases will foil people who stock up on groceries at subsidized prices and then illegally resell them for several times the amount…

What is ??

What the Devil is Going On ?

The countries on the verge of bankrupcy...thats whats happening. Maybe even a popular revolution.

Is this a Blueprint for the U.S. ?

No, why would it be ?

Venezuela has huge oil and gas deposits, and is a huge thorn in the side of the US. The destabilization of the governement by the US wouldn't come as a suprise. Maduro is an idiot who's just filling a dead man shoes to try and kepp the 'Bolivarian' revolution alive.

If theres a decent legal vote, Capriles should win easily, however what happened n the Ukraine could well happen in Venezuela shortly, minus the Russian occupation.

It would also be mighty handy to discover any extra mouths that might be otherwise evading detection.

Hmmm ...

President Nicolas Maduro’s administration says the cards to track families’ purchases will foil people who stock up on groceries at subsidized prices and then illegally resell them for several times the amount.

Illegally resell them?

That makes little or no sense to me!

Isn't that what free market economy is all about ... making a profit?

Surely if a profit is made the government takes its slice of the pie via sales tax and so I do not understand why they would be against making more money!?

Here is a FACT ... Profit ALWAYS happens at the EXPENSE of the customer and So this seems to me to be about WHO is profiting ... not that profiteering has occurred ... because that is a daily event across all levels of the economy.

Venezuela once had an economy, them the communist came and ruined the country, they found out that poor people was their voting base, they are easy to control as most of the time they are busy just with how to survive in a day to day basis, so the best communist minds from the 60s determinate that in order for the revolution to survive they need to have a majority of poor people, of course not forever, just 30 years as the current generation wont change, the younger people would grow on the revolution and only know it and the ones that comes after will be formed as they are required, after 30 years of revolution the true redistribution of wealth can commence.

In order to achieve their goal most of the local production of anything was destroyed, and most of the things consumed in the country has to be imported. But by the end of 2010 the government took over the only company that supply agrochemicals, and since the local production of food crashed. from importing almost everything now they have to import all the food, of course local currency doesn't cut it to pay abroad so good old dollars have to be used.

As good control freaks they are the exchange rate of Bs/$ is fixed by the government and in a country with one of the worse inflation in the world the Bs is quickly overrated after and adjustment of the rate. Also the cost of many foods are fixed by the government, but as they are imported in $ and sold in Bs the gov takes a huge loss on every sell. communist economy 101

As the $ reserve are depleted they cannot supply the whole demand of the products therefore the logical step in communism is to ration the supply instead of incentive an increase of the production on the free market. therefore Cuban like ration card is implemented.

As good communist liars its not marketed in the official tv as a ration card, but an affiliation card that would allow you to enter in raffles for Chinese TVs or Iranian cars, but of course it would only allow you to purchase once every week some products in small amounts to avoid hoarding and help everyone have their "sure supply" as this is the name of the card.

Communism at best
