An Interesting Jacket

Hey Guys,

I purchased a jacket from a second hand store and noticed some foreign, possibly German, writing on the inside pocket. I wanted to know if its from WWII or something.

If you do a search for Carl Weyers, it comes up with a German 3rd Reich medic hat made by the same company so there is a possibility they could have been producing uniforms at the same time.

Hi!.. my guess is..,its from WWII because it seems to be made of felt.
An often used fabric on uniforms in WWII on both sides.., Germany and Russia.
e.g. the Russians had felt-boots, because felt has good isolation properties.
germans used it often for clothing.
But thats only a guess of mine, i`m not an expert on this field.

The jacket itself was made in Köln that`s the german name for Cologne.
i`m living approx. 70km from Cologne in Aachen.
So its only a short hop from my place where i live.

I'm trying to decipher the tag to see if it gives clues on a date. Its hard to find info on this kind of thing lol. The link above gave me some info to start with I thought it might be ww2 though!

its in good shape but because i got it second hand it doesn't have any insignia or cool stuff lol just the label.

It does look nice, it is interesting with the loops down from pockets. Does it have pockets at the bottom as well? I did a quick search and could not find anything German in that style.

i gotta check when i get home but i believe it has pockets that you can put your hands in but not another set of buttoned pockets.
