i'm not convinced this is true, it seems all the western governments and now their oil providing allies are promoting wars on terror, perpetual fear of something that might happen due to one event but if it truly was a war wouldnt more things of happened by now?

Which part do you doubt? That the SA royals just came up with new law(s) to silence and disappear people they disagree with or that they are just using BS to keep their boots on their citizens necks?

As far as the "War on Terror" goes we actually do have a lot of real terror happening all around the world. The US killing people left and right, innocent or not, the Taliban (regardless of who helped establish them,) Al CIAda in Syria, Neo-NAZI's in Ukraine. Oh we've got bags of terror to go around. Did I mention Israel? Terror galore.

Bottom line, I think this is just another control freak move by Saudi Arabia to maintain their stranglehold of power.

...But atheists aren't the ones fighting wars and murdering people through genocide based on fairytales.
This is religious propaganda. I believe that if everyone just forgot about religion and believe in 'what is', and live in the now, the world would be a far better place.

I can't say I appreciate zealous atheists, but I`d rather be ruled by secular people than by this kind of theocracy.

My feelings exactly.
I'm a Christian and I'd rather have the world run by secular rule of law.
Man .. sometimes I really hate this planet. So many militantly stupid people.

People who have suffered through certain communist regimes would disagree with you on that.

There is something intangible, mysterious and dare I say it, diabolical, in the current shift in the global paradime.

I "feel" a move to more not less fundamentalism with it's attending structure, cruelty and control. Even here in America that use to be called "Land of the Free". We are moving into a period of theocratic fascism imo.

Something evil this way comes....

Ante Pavelic (Croatia 1941-45) 359,000 people murdered

Ho Chi Min (Vietnam 1953-56) 200,000 people murdered

League of Militant Atheists

By the beginning of 1941, it had about 3.5 million members from 100 nationalities. It had about 96,000 offices across the country. Guided by Bolshevik principles of antireligious propaganda and party's orders with regards to religion, the League aimed at exterminating religion in all its manifestations and forming an anti-religious scientific mindset among the workers.

The League trained a massive number of antireligious propagandists and other workers. This work included lecture cycles. The League of Militant Atheists attempted to "control and exploit the Proletarian Freethinkers," a group founded by socialists in 1925, in order to diminish the influence of religion, particularly Catholic Christianity, in Central and Eastern Europe.[44]
en.wikipedia.org...
The League of Militant Atheists aided the Soviet government in killing clergy and committed believers.[45] The League also made it a priority to remove religious icons from the homes of believers.[46] Under the slogan, "the Storming of Heaven," the League of Militant Atheists pressed for "resolute action against religious peasants" leading to the mass arrest and exile of many believers, especially village priests. By 1940, "over 100 bishops, tens of thousands of Orthodox clergy, and thousands of monks and lay believers had been killed or had died in Soviet prisons and the Gulag."[47]

This coming from a bloke who was born into vast wealth and whose only God is Oil.

He and his ilk are fools and hypocrites and any SA citizen who takes his diatribe seriously are part of the problem.

"Terrorist".....the new label to tag onto anyone who threatens your way of life.

Did you see what I just did there?

Pfft

Don't know for sure but I could swear I just saw a MSM article about this exact thing. Couldn't find it though, maybe someone who's had more coffee than me would have better luck.

On the darker side people going to SA better hope they get stopped going in at the border before the morality police overhears something it doesn't like at the local cafe. These overly vague laws are also for foreigners and immigrants going to SA. One misspoken sentence could have disastrous results now.

Still looking for that story. I could have sworn I read that within the last couple of months but still can't find it. The most I've found is a women denied citizenship unless she joins a church.

Atheist Told by Immigration Office to Join Church or Be Denied Citizenship

I'll keep digging but maybe it was this and I'm off-base.

After backtracking through the articles it appends one with Homeland Security saying people won't be jailed it's only a misdemeanor. Even so that's really disturbing news.

The law requires that plaques celebrating the power of the Almighty God be installed outside the state Homeland Security building—and carries a criminal penalty of up to 12 months in jail if one fails to comply. The plaque’s inscription begins with the assertion, “The safety and security of the Commonwealth cannot be achieved apart from reliance upon Almighty God.” Link

Who takes seriously what Saudi Arabia has to say ?
Not even Muslims take Saudi Arabia seriously. Whatever they say should be judged as the Christian equivalent of the Westboro Church.

Sometimes they can even bring laughter with their silliness
Saudi Arabia deports 'irresistible' men deemed 'too handsome' to women

I can"t even think of going there.

But - once they heard I was coming, they left, so...
The Saudi Men & Ladies have nothing to fear...on my regard.
In fact - I've seen no drones anywhere near my house or neighborhood for...days...
Good luck to you. Hope things don't get...much worse
