It's almost April 1st..Obama Care!! ATS has the rant forum and tonight it is much needed.

Why is it the the government can find us for jury duty, back taxes, census etc. Yet, I have received 0% information from the government regarding the new health insurance regulations, laws, penalties etc.

I have a major problem with the fact they pass the law and I'm expected to know about it through some kind of paranormal or psychic means. My intuition is good, just not that good.

The icing on the cake...a woman can not be primary on the insurance plan. I have a major problem with that. It makes my blood boil actually. I spent over 2 hours fixing that error. As the primary bread winner why can't I be primary on the health insurance.

So, I made my husband primary, since the government believes a woman can not be one according to this website, after 25 days I have yet to hear if I was "approved."

If "they" think I am going to spend 10 hours in the phone, after calling 100 times just to get in the Que., they are out of their gd minds.

I'm fed up and will not pay a tax penalty for the inept government, their mistake and unreasonable expectations.

I'm surprised that you were even able to get that far on the website. Last I heard the site was having problems. I think that after all the repairs and updates the website is still only made for 5 people.

Thank goodness procrastination isn't against the law or I'd be on death row!

Some of us define requirement a little differently, I think.

Missouri chose to define it with a constitutional amendment passed and added, as needed. It prohibits his mandate being enforced and as an amendment, it's not something that can quite be ignored.

I'm looking forward to seeing how that comes out when they start trying to collect. State law literally declared it null and noncollectable on that basis.

I must admit that I'm interested in watching how this plays out in the U.S, but I think that there is a lot of resentment of this program, from what I've observed here. I'll look into the how's and why's later. In fact sometimes I wonder how everyone else (from other countries) would view this.

Best of luck to you all in the states. Hopefully everything works out for the best.

Heck, I would file a discrimination law suit and send it to every republican you can over the head of household deal. That makes me angry as well.

Finally received my insurance last week, the insurance that I applied for in March, last week, at the end of July. That was almost 4 months after April 1st when the insurance was supposed to kick in according to the California Care site.

I have some serious medical conditions: Addisons Disease, Lupus, tricuspid regurgitation, avascular necrosis and Scleroderma. These conditions need to me monitored closely by a specialists: endocrinology, rheumatology, orthopedic and dermatologists.

Well yesterday I got the good news, no specialists in my area are taking new patients. Meaning all my serious medical conditions will go untreated. How is this possible? I feel like I've been handed a death sentence. California Care gave me no other option other than PHC (low income medi-cal.)

For the last few moths I have been feeling terrible, since I was not getting treatment because the insurance didn't kick in until just last week. Now I have insurance but nowhere to use it, no doctors to treat me other than primary care physicians.

I am sick and have been sick for months, who is going to treat me? Nobody! Awesome!

Addison's Disease without treatment is a death sentence. Thank you US Government for giving me no choice on insurance plans, other than medi-cal. In about 2 months after not taking medication for Addison's disease, it's death.

Really am sorry.

I wonder how the lawmakers missed this loophole?

The "Networks" themselves are obviously discriminatory.

It's a big loophole. What the doctors are doing is saying "no new patients." This way they don't lose their contract with medi-cal.

Last night I was thinking a lot about this, what really bothers me the most is that the obvious reason doctors aren't taking new patients is because the money. It always comes back to money, money is more important to these doctors then helping people that are ill with a particular medical condition they specialize in treating. It's all about the money.

My last hope is calling the doctors offices today to explain my situation to them directly and beg for treatment. Since there is only one Endocrinologist and one Rheumatologist in town, they have the monopoly in town with the power to refuse service.
