While looking at a thread about Sandy Hook, I saw this:

First a quote from ATS site owner Springer:

Going forward anyone who posts a thread that seeks to implicate the innocent victims of the Sandy Hook Tragedy, for any reason, and/or posts any personal information or links to personal information on those people will have their posting privileges restricted and their thread removed without further discussion or warning.

I can't help but wonder about the issue of self-censorship on a conspiracy site. Is this a political decision to protect the board from the consequences of hot-button issues? Or does this policy stem from belief that no conspiracy can be this big and all-encompassing? Certainly the owner/management of ATS has heard of Wolfgang Haldig and others?

I wonder if this censorship will also apply to questions about SH to someone like a Jesse Ventura or is it only on threads ?

If it might help from what has been said by ATS Ownership in the past? These two links show in more detail, what the stated policy is and the rationale behind it.

**ALL MEMBERS Please read: Sandy Hook**

SkepticOverlord' Statement on SH

There are others from Administration and Owners on the topic, and I'd encourage anyone with more questions to search a bit for them. Those two examples are representative.

As a Moderator, I follow policy as stated in the two links above.

The policy comes from this...

Going forward anyone who posts a thread that seeks to implicate the innocent victims of the Sandy Hook Tragedy, for any reason, and/or posts any personal information or links to personal information on those people.....

I think Springer was very clear on the issue in what he said.
