I don't have a problem with BASE jumping, per se. I'm just not sure if I condone it being done off a building which is the symbolic replacement of one from which numerous people jumped to their deaths to avoid perishing in fire.

Not sure how I feel about it... Maybe it's fine. I don't know...

Yes... the towers were destroyed and then they built the new tower...
Now we have a case of 4 people jumping off the new building.
I am failing to see the 911 conspiracy..

The biggest problem is that this will cost the tax payers to investigate and prosecute them. They were thinking only of themselves and the thrill they would get as well as the cool YouTube video they could post. BASE jumping, climbing and so forth currently doesn't have sufficient penalties to stop it.

And I have to agree that it is a great disrespect to the people who died.

ok fair enough. I have been watching the vid and I am comparing maps of the skyline. Maybe us uneducated folks in the land down under weren't told they had built a new building. We were told the entire area was made into a memorial of where both WTC towers once were.

so, perhaps the conspiracy is the media tells us different things depending on which Country you live?

Very well could be, should take a look at your news website and see if you can find any recent mention of that area still being a memorial.
Outside of that I think you may have just missed the coverage of the new tower.
I want to say it is a couple years old, could be newer though

There is a federal statute that covers National Monuments. Some idiots that tried the same thing off Mt Rushmore got 4 1/2 years in a federal lockup-no parole. They had some kind of red streamers that defaced the monument and the repair cost were well over $1000,000-which they will pay once they get out.


Be sure about one thing-they will never do it again.

The media in your area is not wrong. There is a memorial where the WTC once stood, the area around that will soon be comprised of four total buildings, 2 are already built and 2 more are facing monetary delays. The site is really quite large, a lot of people who have never been there do not realize this fact, and it easily fits all of this plus the memorial.

So, the security remains so lax that anybody with a back pack can help them self to a free-fall of empirical proportions?

strange thing is that you can hear a chopper in the back ground AND when they said... "thanks BBC"

so a chopper must have put them on the building?

just seemed so strange.

well that is interesting... I am tempted to ask random Aussies next time I go out, if they knew one of the buildings had been rebuilt with regard to 911.
