GWAR frontman Oderus Orungus aka David Brockie passed away today at the age of 50.

He impacted many lives over a 30 year career in heavy metal. He will be missed.

May his twisted soul torment gleefully forever into that dark, cold, pus filled scab of night.

This upset me. I loved their live shows so much.

I will never forget when I saw them at Sounds of the Underground in Orlando.

It was an outdoor event. They were playing a song called "maggots." The lyrics say something like, "the maggots are falling like rain."

During the song they were spraying "blood" into the crowd with something like a firehose. Of course it began to rain (Florida) and in the process the "blood" mist mixed with the rain. It was like it was really raining blood.

During the song Oderus changed the lyrics up. He sang "the rain is falling like rain."
Then he switched again and sang, "the blood is falling like rain."

It was an awesome time. I guess you had to have been there.

RIP man.

Nice memory. I saw them up in NY and all I got was kicked by Beefcake.
I wasn't yet SICK OF YOU
