their own arsenal, to keep a balance. And that's the last thing you
want with those neighbors. Everything would change. IMO.

Israel does not need to make its nukes public because it is alread by far the most dominate military force in area by leaps and bounds. Where as North Korea and Iran see nukes as a way to make up for their convantional military weakness in regards to each ones region.

I'm sure they do. And as much as those who hate Israel will complain .. Israel has shown restraint in not using battlefield nukes. Flame away.

I submit that the USA allowed technology transfer for nuclear devices...but there is a maximum limit to their yield...say about 20kt...so they are only tactical deterents

Quiet on the contrary, Iran and north Korea don't need to have nuclear weapons in order to defend themselves because they have a massive military with lots of personals and shiny conventional toys to back them all up...Not to mention the willingness to fight and defend their countries by the fellow martyrs and even civilian population...The time of nuclear weapons has long been over and frankly it has never been really "on' with an exception of Hiroshima and Nakasaki of course...Whether Israel has nukes or not,she will not stand a chance against any real hard liner military with eagerness to fight....They are more used to a boy with a sling shot kind of a scenario.

I've a better question.Why haven't a combined Arab force NOT attacked Israel since 1973?Because the Arabs know a:Israel has them.B:Israel would use them.I've read they had them in 73 and would have launched had not the fortune turned on the battlefield.

There is also the fact that, whatever people who hate Israel here want to think (not you), they are intelligent, resourceful and far more important, desperate people. 7+ million of them. They will fight, as trained to, to the last woman, and child. Just like the Japanese on Okinawa and for the very same reason..although quite likely a well founded reason now where it wasn't then. What Middle Eastern nation can field an offensive army capable of defeating several million people under arms? Not a single one I'm aware of.

If they lose...they *ALL* die. So, they cannot ever..ever..lose. Nor will they, which is what the nukes are for. IF they ever appear to be losing and hope is lost? Israel will insure no one who raised a hand against them lives longer to enjoy it than Israel had left to suffer it.

Not a bad approach when outnumbered, even at their millions, several to one in any scenario of true open war.

I agree Rabbit.Did you know Israel would swear their army officers in at Masada where hundreds of Jews committed suicide before surrendering to the roman army?They obviously do this for a reason.
And your right that they don't have the luxury of losing even once.

The nuclear arms race in the Middle East has been going on since 1973. Iraq, Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Iran, Syria all want Nuclear bombs because they believe Israel has them.

Yep.If Iran gets them and Israel doesn't destroy Iran,Saudi Arabia will be on the presidents phone in an hour demanding nukes.Just to start.

they worked with South Africa on their nuclear program and have conducted a test Vela Incident and it didn't go unnoticed. In fact they may have conducted 2 additional tests with SA.

do they have them? yes they do. do they need to conduct anymore tests? no as they probably have the information and computer simulator that we have, so tests are probably no longer needed

God forbid we ever find out, because if we do... The Sampson option will be initiated and the entire Middle East (at the very lest) will be a wasteland. These things can escalate before you know it.

That's correct. Israel was about to lose, and was saved by its nuclear weapon. Make no mistake that the outcome of Arab victory in 1973, as it was in 1967 or 1949 would have been complete Jewish genocide, as explicitly advocated by the Arab belligerents.

Israel is the armed country albeit smaller country. Israel has a vast arsenal of Nukes. They also have a lot of Chemical Weapons especially White Phosphorous. Just ask the families of the dead Palestinian children that were killed by Israel with White Phosphorous.

The Government covertly said they were scrapping a heap of old Fighter Jets and sold them to Israel and a cheap and nasty price. However the planes were not scrap. Just a lie to be able to sell them to Israel.
