Advice to Propagandists

If you are the agent of a government hostile to the United States, Europe, Japan, China, Russia and the rest of the world in general, here are some handy hints to help you spread the word here on ATS:

1. Do not include a map of your country in your avatar.
2. Do not include the national flag of your country in your avatar.
3. Do not include a map of your country colored in with the flag of your country in your avatar.
4. Do not feature the shortwave frequency of your country's propaganda radio station in your avatar.
5. Do not claim to be an American citizen if you are completely ignorant of American law.
6. Get permission to watch American television programs so that you can color your posts with current slang and cultural references. The Simpsons is the best resource for this.
7. Be subtle. Rather than starting a thread boasting about how great your country is, insert your point of view into pre-existing threads. For example:

RedWhiteAndBlue2014: The Russians are imperialists!
MotherlandLover01: The Americans are aggressive fascists!
You: Only [Insert country here] is a peaceful influence in the world.

8. Observe the site's Terms and Conditions (T&C) at all times. It would be a shame if your mission were to founder on a technicality.

Now, get out there and spread the good word!

That's f*#ing funny! That totally fits with what I am doing here, but I am pretty sure the "Verfassungsschutz" wouldn't hire me, due to some demonstration and civil resistance actions in my past. And you know what, I said that in this other shill-thread before: Those pointing fingers are most likely the ones to keep an eye on.

Oh please! Most people wouldn't believe what scum they have on their payroll.
If your "civil resistance" had anything to do with independence/liberty/freedom in general, your chances for a job with them are indeed little... (so don't tell!!)

Oh, and I should add: If members who are normally violently opposed to each other on threads about America/Europe/Russia/China/Syria/Israel/Iran suddenly start agreeing that your country sucks, you should probably consider defecting.

There are some 'repeat offender' propagandists that show up.
Some political. Some religious. Some in groups. Some just by themselves.
They get banned. They come back. They get banned again.
There is one troll/propagandist in particular that we are thinking of.
He's been active this past week. He luvs a certain political leader who is insane.
His numerous accounts (under different names) have been erased.
And when he comes back in a new incarnation ... he'll be banned and erased again.
He's a just a fool. That's why I say .... DO NOT FEED THE TROLLS.
They live on attention. Take away the attention, and they starve.

Well its more or less an open secret that some if not most countries in the world employ propagandists to sway opinion online.

We have been recently visited by a gentleman who appears to have very strong feelings in favour of a particular country and all the diplomacy and subtly of a very large brick to the forehead.

His threads have been removed by the mods and accounts banned.

I hope that clears it up for you.

that said I almost feel sorry for said country if thats the best they can do at online propaganda.
