somehow i don't see how firing on a seemingly defenseless commercial aircraft and then not releasing anything about it would intimidate anyone. Shooting down a plane and then saying it disappeared does not "show off" anyones arsenal. I'm just really failing to see any logic or reasoning behind this being connected to Ukraine, or Russia, or anything else going on in the world.

Why would they release anything about it publicly?
The elite is definitely in talks behind the scenes, and what we can see here is a theatre stage. (Or carneval if you want )

I dont understand the whole hijacking point of view on this, dont terrorist cells usually claim a hijacking when or after they do it?

As mentioned before, they might have hijacked it, concealed it, refueled it...and prepare it for The Big Thing

This may be just pre-event to something big. And I guess it should be imminent, so if we don't see anything within few days, then it's most definitely not a hijacking case.

It has always been about power...
As George Orwell said, the purpose of power is power. (or to get more power)

Their deeds may not always seem reasonable, but showing off some high-tech weaponry would definitely intimidate "competition"...or/and opponents.

This doesnt have to be about hijacking of course. It could also be about testing new weaponry, plane theft, bermuda-triangle-like-phenomena, the malaysian military lying or numerous other scenarios. This just adds a new mysterious twist to what we previously thought was somewhat "settled".

agreed. it's odd that contact was lost, the transponder turned off and then the plane reappeared and there wasn't any renewed contact unless the pilot switched the transponder back on when hijackers weren't looking, in an effort to direct controllers to their new flight path.

This news is so new that media haven't drawn a line on a map yet, but it appears the plane changed course, heading west instead of north. Further west we find India, Mauritius and then even further the Middle East.

I come to this thread late and haven't read the other pages yet; but when speculating about a possible target Westwards, has no one yet mentioned Diego Garcia? This island is the strategically located military base, (owned by USA & UK), from which the USA, UK and Israel have jointly had a submarine-launched arsenal pointed at nuclear installations in IRAN since at least 2001, (when I first read about it in a British newspaper)...Did I say 2001?...Hmmm!

That article mentioned how Condi Rice was 'concerned' (pissed off) that Israel had carte blanche to trigger an attack without prior clearance from USA/UK. Nobody said WHEN!
Israel's participation was not a temporary set up, by any means.

This could have all sorts of ramifications, when considering the mystery of this 'missing' plane.
Or none at all.

Look up Diego Garcia...everybody seems to have forgotten it even existed and few have ever heard of the Israeli connection.
Good to know about this secret military island anyway, though you won't find any mention of the Israeli factor, of course!

Why didn't they find this out earlier!? its been days! I have an unshakeable feeling they are all still alive, i know it sounds almost impossible though, but i had thought a situation like this was near impossible too.

Wasn't there a show a few years back during primetime which depicted an aircraft being used in a presidential assassination attempt by malevolent earth based aliens? The plot was thwarted when a benevolent set of the same aliens caused the aircraft to disappear and reappear in the desert somewhere.

The Event

Only so many places you can land a 777 without people seeing it , not to mention , Refueling , pre flight inspections , if it would be hijacked they had to land , get rid of the passengers and all their ways of communication , you have to cut all communication with the outside world and make the plane become invisible for radar.

And all of this has to be executed without any mistakes , but who knows it might be hijacked and they dont want this going public.

Matter of fact , the total lack of information we are getting is fishy to say the least , where is the black box ?

at this point anything could have happened , But i dont know what is more scary , that we are being kept in the dark or that the investigators and authorities also dont know what happened.

But if it did totally vanish , wich i hope is the last thing wich would have happened , it might be a very good time to raise some serious questions about why a 777 vanishes into the nothing with all its passengers.

But for now i try to keep an open mind about possible scenario's.

Exactly, you need a reinforced concrete landing strip about a mile long or so...and out of the public eye

Diego Garcia occurred to me too when looking at the map, because it's right along the plane's bizarre trajectory change to west-to-southwest. It's within range (approx. 2000 miles vs. 2500 miles to Beijing) and probably one of the few island airfields that could land a jet that size.

Also just as likely the plane was hijacked, heading for Kuala Lampur and shot down by Malaysian military, United 93-style.

Latest update indicates the two passengers suspected of having stolen passports appear to be just attempting to immigrate illegally. One of the suspects mother was waiting for him in Germany and indicated he was just trying to get there to live. I don’t see any reason to doubt that at this point. That said however this appears to be a hijacking and not a bomb or mechanical failure. I think this one could become a big deal and may be a tipping point event. This plane was loaded with Chinese and this looking all the more like a deliberate act would be a Chinese 9/11 event.

Has anyone put any research into identifying the 3 chinese artists returning from some exhibit in Malaysia? I heard about it briefly and it juust got me thinking, political dissidents maybe? were they outspoken against the government? It seems plausible this could be a cover to get rid of someone conveniently, how better to assassinate someone then take out a whole plane and make it seem like an accident/act of terror?

Could we have just witnessed a 911 type event/false flag, ? but i wonder if Flightradar24 could have shown the flight if it wasnt real, makes me wish FR24 had been about in 911 to have tracked the non planes.

Can the said airplane be refueled mid-flight?

Normal civil aircraft dont have this capability without a refuel boom etc.
