He's supposed to appear, via satellite, at SXSW. I guess we'll see then.

As far as we know he is still in the Ecuadorian Embassy in London but is still active , here he is in an interview yesterday on MSNBC’s “Now With Alex Wagner” questioning whether President Obama is wearing pants? regard to control over America's National Security Agency ...of course we already know the answer to that

“So who really calls the shots in the executive? Is it Barack Obama? Is it Clapper? Is it [NSA Director Gen. Keith] Alexander? Is it the intelligence complex as a whole?” Assange said. “We know when the government takes something seriously. It starts a formal investigation, it fires people, it reduces its budgets. We haven’t seen that. So the question is, does the civilian leadership have effective control of the 16 agency intelligence group under Clapper, under the DNI?”

Do the "authorities" check each car that leaves the embassy to see if Assange is in it? (seats, trunk, a compartment in the seat). You've think he'd want to go somewhere where he could move around. Maybe he can room with Snowden in Moscow. But it's very mean to keep him cooped up in the embassy, hopefully he gets some sun.

Probably the only likely thing that stands against Assange is the extradition request from Sweden, and the charges appear to be very tentative.
Then of course, Snowden came on the scene, and of what are they going to charge him with if he did return? nobody in the US would stand for the actual charges that have been made.

Like Nancy Pelosi want's Snowden to come home and bear the consequences? like hell she does! Think of it, a trial against a whistleblower of government illegal activity against the American constitution, and once that would happen, the UK would be obliged to horn in, since the same activity at GCHQ in England was illegal in British law, for different reasons.
In the UK, and America the authorities must be sh...... themselves.
All that needs to happen now is any proof of intelligence services and jingoistic press being exposed as working together, and thereby having access to other data to be used for newspaper sensationalism...the profit end for the corporates.
It will be interesting to see how Rebecca Brooks fares, since her charges were pre Snowden by less than a month of his expose'.
