Nay to the god of the holy bible

Yay to intelligent consciousness above our physical realm, whatever it may be

So are you say'n yay as long as the Bible doesn't give us an accurate description
of him? Or as long as we don't know anything about him?

Nay to a god that requires worship or sets limits and conditions on us.

Yay for the true God that exists within us and requires no worship and doesn't set limits or conditions.

Do you believe in God? A God, defined as a spiritual being of greater
capacities than our own. Like creation and destruction, who's existence
holds the answers to questions about ourselves, that we will obviously
never be able to answer on our own. Who may or may not be the Christian
God, so without asking which GOD?

Are there beings who are greater, more spiritually adept, more aware, more capable than me/us? Absolutely! Are any of them gods or a GOD? Nope.

GOD is not an entity or a single being that is separate from us or from what is. GOD is not a person watching us with joy or sadness and frustration as we try to find him. GOD is not a magical force that needs to be worshiped and that seeks to interfere with our daily lives.

Do you not set limits on what your children do? That is a horrible father, no rules and no guidance means no love when it comes to parenting. Worshipping GOD isn't bowing on your knees, it's the way we act. Every time you love your fellow man you have worshiped your FATHER.

"You shall have no graven images before me."

He was worried about us growing apart from him. He was more concerned about losing possession of us, ownership, than he was about our treatment of each other. It should have been "You shall love your fellow man as you love me, and shall have no less respect and deference for the sanctity of their life." Maybe then I would agree with your statement.

The ten commandments are the laws of love. Actually when YAHUSHUA was asked what the greatest of these commandments were he said, Love the YAHUWAH with all your heart mind and soul and love your neighbor as you love yourself. That is because if you love YAHUWAH with all your mind heart and soul, you will begin to understand how you are to love your neighbor. Loving YAHUWAH is for that reason FIRST, if I love my FATHER I will love my brother for he is an extension of him. In order to learn how to spell you must first learn the alphabet.

Yay.

But not the vengeful tyrant lord. The modern God is a lie.

Besides, Eris treats me better. Sure, I can't have hotdog buns and that nefarious crook Greyface is always lurking around every school and dmv, but overall Discordianism is the middle-hand path I choose to gallantly stroll along.

All hail Discordia!

Hail Eris!

"Seek beyond man made religion"

And how exactly does one seek a religion that's not an invention of Man?

So the whole purpose of God was to teach us how to love unconditionally? Interesting. It seems to suggest that love isn't an inherent quality of animal nature.

By proxy I agree. God is all about symbiosis between everything that is.

Become psychic?

Go to the source thru meditation and increasing chi/light flow thru your body so that your unconscious soul awakens to a higher degree and makes the consciousness see with a shifted awareness?

It does sometimes take time to get over the ego projection distortion.

The road to hell is paved with good intentions. Acting out of love is not the same as acting out of wisdom. And as Shakespeare once said: "Love and reason keep little company together nowadays."
