Hi, I'm not sure about how these places work yet... please bear with me as I learn?

About me, Let's see. I'm a seamstress, when I can find work.

I enjoy gardening, and am worried about the environment.

I'm interested in a lot of the topics/forum titles on here. I accidentally discovered this site about 5 years ago after watching "Ancient Aliens" and have been wondering about if it could be real. I'm going to start watching the new Cosmos this week; and doing a google about it I found a search-result that led to here again!! Plus, I like history and archaeology and genealogy, and costume movies.

So, I decided I'll join....

Hoping I'll find some nice people and make a few new acquaintances...and get to talk about stuff and junk.

One of my favorites is Swedish Rum Balls: oatmeal, butter, sugar, cocoa, rum flavoring. Roll it up into little balls; no bake!

Well, the rat we had was a 'classroom project' that I took home for the summer. I even made him a 'multi-level condo' in a garbage bin, with ladders and hidey holes and so on....
but he got out, and chewed up the woodwork, and the quilt, and then was just gone.

I hope he's okay, though, wherever he is. He pooped all over stuff, though. I don't miss that.
Ralph was his name.
