Facts, and ardent statements by top Russian diplomats were totally ignored by the western ‘war press’.

Russian UN Ambassador Vitaly Churkin pointed to the longstanding 25,000 troop allowance while FM Sergey Lavrov stressed the Russian military “strictly executes the agreements which stipulate the Russian fleet’s presence in Ukraine, and follows the stance and claims coming from the legitimate authority in Ukraine and in this case the legitimate authority of the Autonomous Republic Crimea as well.”

Are you saying that Russia doesn't have a right to protect their people and property? If that was an American base and personnel that was possibly in danger would you be saying don't do anything? Also if a government was taken over by force that is a coup.

While we have a natural impulse to support that apparent upwelling of democratic change in the Ukraine...fact is we are not getting the straight goods from the media and Galloway has an annoying habit of cutting through the Bravo Sierra and giving us the unpopular truths.

If it's true that the US has been caught paying for the disruption in the street and is reponsable for the coup d'etat to futher it's own political agenda, with it's corporate muscle once again pulling the strings, then yes, Russia, if the worlds likes it or not, has a right.

The west doesn't lend a helping hand to anyone, unless theres something in it for them.

Exxon and Chevron have done deals with the Ukraine in the past few months helping the Ukraine, who wants to break free of it's dependance of the Russian energy market, and start up on it's own. American business intrests move in and the pro russian government goes...strange isn't it.

I've never seen that video before, I'd like to the see the senator reply..straight fact's. You can't compete with straight fact's.

I think we should sit this one out, the old adage "be careful what you wish for" comes to mind. there are a lot of ethnic Russians in Ukraine and especially in Crimea that have been there for along time. sticking our nose in this, will do more harm than good. having said that, there are probably some well-meaning Ukrainians who want to be part of the EU and western countries, but, I fear they have been co-opted by a right-wing group of extreme nationalists
