what did you leave out of your post from wiki?

The term petrodollar should not be confused with petrocurrency which refers to the actual national currency of each petroleum exporting country.

In addition to the United States petrodollar, a petrodollar can also refer to the Canadian dollar in transactions that involve the sale of Canadian oil to other nations.

Large inflow of petrodollar in a country often has an impact on the value of its currency. For Canada it was shown that an increase of 10% in the price of oil increases the Canadian dollar value versus the US dollar by 3%[2] and vice versa.

So no, you would be wrong.

your Bloomberg article is from 2012 -

Also you missed this part -

The OPEC nations -- Algeria, Angola, Ecuador, Iran, Iraq, Kuwait, Libya, Nigeria, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, United Arab Emirates and Venezuela -- provide about 44 percent of the world’s oil. They will earn $1.105 trillion in 2012, up from an estimated $1.01 trillion last year, which was a 30 percent increase from $778 billion in 2010, the government’s Energy Information Administration in Washington said.

They held $258.8 billion of the $10.428 trillion of Treasuries outstanding as of Jan. 31, up from $215.5 billion a year earlier and $211.9 billion in January 2010, Treasury Department data show.

Those monies coming into the US are buying US debt. It has no impact (positive anyways) on the US. The investments are based on profits those opec nations earn when oil prices hover into triple digits.

So, again, your theory on the US with high oil prices is wrong and you misrepresented your position by leaving out information that did not support your claim.

A simple yes or no wont do since its not the position you are trying to push. not to mention the question you just asked has absolutely nothing to do with the previous posts you made. STOP moving the goal post would you please.

You keep claiming the US benefit's from high oil prices when in fact it does not.

According to the title of this thread its based on Ukraine updates.
Since Russia invaded Ukraine to protect "ethnic Russians" I don't understand how oil has anything to do with the thread, aside from your theory that tries to include the US into something we cant be a part of because we are not an oil exporting nation, where as OPEC nations are.

As I stated time and again, if you did your research you would notice the US has not profited from Iraqi oil as Chinese companies have snagged those contracts. If you would research instead of just believing what Russia tells you to believe we would not have to have these off topic debates.

Please for the love of God exercise independent thought would you please.

I don't understand how oil has anything to do with the thread,

Also you cant jam the aegis system you could turn it off if you're on the ship. See when they are talking electronic warfare the plane trys to jam radar signals by sending back noise. Problem is Aegis just inst its phased array radar meaning unless russians learned to break the laws of physics there not jamming it. So im going to call BS on the story. Most likely the russian pilot saw active scanning Aegis can also do passive and the ship turned it off to prevent him from being shot down. they can even uplink it to Space Tracking and Surveillance System as well. which is thermal sensors in space for tracking. Sorry the system is just to cool i go overboard but if the system were armed the su 25 would have been downed.

Are you sure the west wants to fight a war over the Ukraine or could it be that Putin/Iran and USA are not just pushing oil prices up to benefit all of them.

You hit the nail on the head.

Ah so we are once again back to oil prices -

Lets see -
* - Ethnic Russians in danger
* - Humanitarian issues
* - Coup in Kiev
* - NATO expansion
* - Asking to join Russia
* - Independence
* - Oil
* - Collapse of Soviet Union illegal
* - Formerly occupied E. European countries have Ethnic Russian populations.

am I missing anything else that has been stated by Pro Russian / Putin as justification for invasion of Ukraine?

You are very consistently wrong. I am not pro-Russian,I am just not an emotional Russian hater like you. The price of oil and gas being kept high is always in the interests of big oil and the bankers that own them. To summarize, the US will not wage war on Russia. Not conventional, not nuclear. No matter what. So what is the end result of US threats to Russia? The price of gasoline in the US is high because of "tensions in Ukraine". Any actions the US takes will increase the cost of energy. So who benefits?

Yet I am not the one constantly stating a war is going to occur. I am also not the one constantly stating Russia will nuke the US. I am not the one constantly arguing the US profits from high oil prices.

Its not my fault they don't know the difference between oil and LNG.

I am not a Russia hater by the way so don't put words in my mouth. What I do have an issue with are people who are pro Russian constantly posting BS and when asked to support it, they go off. As for me being consistently wrong, I will tell you the same I tell the others.

Point it out, back it up and we can go from there. IfI am wrong I have no issues admitting it, as I have done in this as well as other threads.

But don't come in, accuse me of something and then not support it. Its is as meaningless as posting comments about Russia's Cosmic weapons as some pro Russians like to do.

And anybody but the United States.

Which, again, undermines the arguments some of the Pro Russians are trying to make.

Well thank you for joining this discussion it has been most useful in weaning out bug in our AI systems and we are making progress on negative feedback loops.

Oil prices and public approval ratings for Putin standing up to the USA I don't think is the big slice of cake but the military spending contracts in the USA are.

Would you agree ?

U.S. will allow just 'days' for implementation of Geneva deal

(Reuters) - Russia has not fulfilled its part of an international agreement to defuse tension in Ukraine and Washington will only wait "days" more for the accord to be implemented, a senior U.S. official said on Wednesday.

"Russia has not taken the steps that it needs to take" under the agreement reached in Geneva last week, Daniel Baer, the U.S. Ambassador to the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE), said.

Under the deal, the European Union, Russia, Ukraine and the United States agreed that illegal armed groups in Ukraine would go home in a process to be overseen by Europe's OSCE security watchdog.

But no sooner had the accord been signed than both sides accused the other of breaking it, while the pro-Moscow rebels disavowed the pledge to withdraw from occupied buildings.

Baer said the solution was for Russia to act.

"If failure happens, it will be because Russia has failed to stop its negative, destructive actions and to move to a constructive path," he said, speaking at a Brussels event organized by the German Marshall Fund think-tank.
