Cody, I should have pegged you and Timely for the 'readers'. ;-) Wow I love that door! Beautiful work. I can see the TLC that went into it. Popped in this evening to see if there might be an 'After Midnight Show'. Knew probably not as Garth is working nights, but hey, hope springs eternal right??

I love that door too! Awesome!!!!!

Soobaz, here is a fairly simple Christmas ornament craft project for you...

Get some styrafoam balls and with a hot glue gun, glue on pieces of cinnamon sticks, whole cloves, dried orange peel, lavender, dried rose petals, moss or any combination of these. Glue or pin a loop at the top for hanging and make a pretty bow, maybe even add a small feathered cardinal on top or tiny candy cane, or jingle bells etc. careful with the hot glue, I tend to do a lot of swearing using that! LOL These look pretty and smell great too!

Or... gather some cinnamon sticks and tie around the middle and make a pretty bow and sit a bird on top of that. You can make a bunch in no time. Looks pretty sitting on top of a package as well as using for an ornament.

I love making gift baskets as you can put just about anything in them. Line with pretty tissue paper, tie a beautiful ribbon on the handle, slip dried or a silk flower through the bow. Easy and beautiful! You can even get the baskets in a second hand store and the ribbons and flowers on sale. So it's cheap and easy.

I could go on, but I don't want to turn this into a craft thread. LOL

Depending on how much you want to spend to fill the baskets, there are tons of ideas. You'd think your kids would be excited for Halloween, but Christmas tree already? LOL!

It is truly magnificent ...... until ..... someone has to do the dusting.

You would need a ladder!

Morning all

Sorry , I was running really late this morning, I intended
to have today off work but got THE call.

I'll post the piccies of the finished doors later when I
get home.

It was a huge gothic mansion called Holmdale. The
architect was a genius and the finished place was
just gob smacking.

OK I'd better stop hiding in the toilet and go do
what they pay me for.

Catch you all later.....P ask away mate

Why are the tiny arches not connected to anything. It looks to me as if they should have thin timber running all the way down, but no, they just sit up there like they are going to fall down any minute.

Why are the bottom two panels plain while the two above them are fancy.

I work in wood myself although not up to your standards. Right now I would love to make something to fill in an arch but I never learnt how to bend wood. Well, I can bend anything but you know what I mean.

LOL

Just curious.

Actually, a fairy would be perfect as long as they don't mind the dust. I don't know if a fairy can fly through dust safely or do they just fall out of the air.

It looks as if that house could come with fairies and gargoyals. Not too keen on the latter.
