Author of “The Kelly Incident” Photographs UFO over Nevada
“There are objects in the sky that have not been identified,” says Anna Karyl, author of “The Kelly Incident,” a novel based on the true 1955 alien encounter in Kelly, Kentucky, “and I have photographed one of them. “In 2004,” the author explained, “I visited an open-air structure outside of Las Vegas and using a simple digital camera, I took photos of the architecture. Standing in the center of the structure and shooting upward through the open girder-like beams, I saw nothing at all in the sky at the time this photo was taken. But when I downloaded the photos, there was a metallic-like silver orb in the sky over the structure.”

Pentagon Hacker Says He was Hunting UFOs
To the United States, he is a seriously dangerous man who put the nation's security at risk by committing "the biggest military computer hack of all time". But Briton Gary McKinnon says he is just an ordinary computer nerd who wanted to find out whether aliens and UFOs exist. During his two-year quest, McKinnon broke into computers at the Pentagon, NASA and the Johnson Space Centre as well as systems used by the US army, navy and air force.

Police Hunt for Phantom That Terrified Drivers
AN EXPENSIVE police search involving a helicopter and sniffer dogs was launched - after a ghost was spotted on the Caterham Bypass. Terrified motorists called police after seeing the mysterious ghoulish figure walking across the A22 at the dead of night. Despite it costing an estimated £1,000, a police helicopter was deployed to search for the spooky female, who witnesses said was wearing ripped tights and a mini-skirt but had no features on her face.

Author of “Virgin Mary Sculpture Appears To Cry
Colombians are gathering at a church southwest of Bogota to see a statue of the Virgin Mary that, according to witnesses, appears to be crying. This is the first time the sculpture, called "The Virgin Of Rosary," has been seen with what look like tears on her face. Take a look at the video at the top of this page.

Mysterious Booms Remain Unknown
Scientists said the spot where the rattling boom originated is in the general vicinity of Warning Area 291, a huge swath of ocean used for military training exercises. The Navy operates a live-fire range on San Clemente Island, which is within Warning Area 291 and sits about 65 miles from Mission Bay, the newspaper reported. But Steve Fiebing, a Coronado-based Navy representative, said the live-fire range on San Clemente Island was inactive April 4. He also said there was no Navy or Marine Corps flight activity in Warning Area 291 on that day that would have caused a sonic boom or a countywide tremor, the Union-Tribune reported.

Are Ghosts Fact or Just Fiction?
DO YOU believe in ghosts, or are their just figments of people's imaginations? Last week The Herald published a photograph that apparently showed a spirit standing in the middle of St Andrew Street, Hertford. The ghost of a malnourished young girl, who laboured in a workhouse when she was alive, is said to haunt the street.

Legendary Turtle Surfaces After Vietnam's Communists Meet
A legendary giant turtle living in the central lake of Vietnam's capital surfaced as the country's ruling Communist Party ended its recent national congress, local press reported Wednesday. Vietnamese state-controlled media were quick to imply that the appearance of the turtle, seen by some as a reincarnation of an ancient god, was a sign to hail the recent 10th Communist Party Congress, which ended Tuesday morning.

Chupacabra the Goatsucker Vampire Sightings Reported in Central Russia
For the first time in history, the mysterious Puerto-Rican Chupacabra vampire has been spotted in Russia. Reports of a beast that kills animals and sucks on their blood came from a village in Central Russia back in March 2005, when a farm had 32 turkeys killed overnight. The beast left the corpses bloodless, the Komsomolskaya Pravda daily said. Then reports came from neighboring villages, where more than 30 sheep and goats fell victim to the vampire. Again, the blood had been drained from corpses but the flesh remained intact. All the slaughtered animals had similar puncture wounds on their necks, different from the marks that wolves, dogs or lynx leave on their victims. Finally, eyewitness descriptions match the traditional description of the Chupacabra, said to resemble a kangaroo and a dog with huge teeth.
