Where is your passion ATS?

ATS Weekly, Edition 018, November 15, 2005

Yeah, I read everything I can at AboveTopSecret. Not that I am feeling disappointed, however something is missing here. I see hundreds of new topics and discussions. Only a few seem to have that something special I am looking for. Often I find inspiration, however many times I feel like what I am reading has been done before. Maybe it is because everyone is trying to post like everyone else.

I sense something. Something is missing. What could it be? Could it be individuality? Originality? Or is it passion?

Many times I open a new discussion with great anticipation only to find a simple quote and link to a source, and perhaps one to three lines in closing from the author. It is much more rare these days to find a new topic where the author has opened up, shown a true desire to communicate an opinion or theory, done in a way that leaves one saying to themselves "wow".

Are some of you afraid to open up an really express yourselves here?

The terms and conditions of use of this website does not discourage original thinking, so why is there so little commentary in so many of the opening posts here at ATS?

I have a challenge for all members who read this.

The next time you are ready to log in to ATS, before doing so... Take a moment... THINK. What is really on your mind? What would you like to know more about? What message would you like to send to the world?

Open a word program, or note pad. And compose! Be yourself, be original, don't be afraid, take a risk. Once you have completed your work, log in to ATS, select a forum that fits the topic you have created as closely as possible, click and POST IT. Then no matter what get involved in the follow up discussion, exchange replies with other members and do it with passion!

So, are any of you up to the challenge?

I assure you, if you do this I will notice it, and applaud you for it accordingly.

As always, enjoy the universe of AboveTopSecret.com. Make the best of your time online, end the hype and spin, be yourselves, be original... Take this challenge as a calling. Go for it!
