For Sale: Island with Mysterious Money Pit
It may look like a fixer-upper at first glance, but what is buried beneath scrubby little Oak Island might just make its estimated $7 million price tag worth the investment. Oak Island, in Nova Scotia, is famous for its Money Pit, a mystery that has endured two centuries, claimed six lives and swallowed up millions in life savings. The Pit was discovered in 1795 by a local boy named Daniel McGinnis who, spotting an unusual clearing in the earth under one of the island's oak trees, was prompted to start digging. The discovery of layered planks, mysterious stone slabs, and mats made of coconut fibers descending deep into the ground turned his casual afternoon dig into an all-out excavation.

In China, Hunt on For Loch Ness Monster
They have come by the tens of thousands over the years - skeptical scientists, curious tourists - answering the lure of the mysterious "Kanasi Huguai," China's very own version of the Loch Ness monster. On this particular trip, part class reunion, part tour package, there are a handful of Yuan's university buddies and their wives (mostly retired professors from Beijing with graying hair and quiet humor), three teachers, a nurse, a local reporter, a university student, a lab technician and her mother.

UFO Sightings
Though it may not seem like a hotbed of alien activity, Bay State residents in recent years have reported hundreds of UFO sightings, including dozens in MetroWest. Despite Hollywood's focus on sites like Area 51 and Roswell, N.M., Peter B. Davenport, director of the Seattle-based National UFO Reporting Center, said UFO sightings are an international phenomenon.

Couple Look for Supernatural all Year
Have you ever thought your house may have a presence in it, that is of the supernatural nature? Have you have had things turn up missing that reappear in the most obvious places? Is it possible that there may be a ghost that has taken up residence in your home?

The Mystery of Bigfoot is Alive and Well in Texas
To most of us, it's folklore, tall tales best told beneath the stars, amid the flickering glow and swirling firefly embers of a campfire. But some reasonable people remain believers. Although tabloid fiction makes them vulnerable to teasing and ridicule, they insist "something" is Out There. What they have seen and reported, they say, isn't some Halloween prankster wearing a gorilla suit.

Lichen Survives in Space
One of the main focuses in the search for living organisms on other planets and the possibilities for transfer of life between planets currently centres on bacteria, due to the organisms simplicity and the possibility of it surviving an interplanetary journey exposed to the harsh space environment.

Fireballs Seen Over Germany Spark UFO Speculation
Numerous sightings of massive fireballs in the skies over Germany this week have led to an upsurge in reports of UFOs, but scientists believe the cause could be a bizarre annual meteor blitz. According to the Web site of the U.S. National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA), such fireballs have been reported elsewhere in the world and may also be due to the fact that the Earth is now orbiting through a swarm of space debris.

Beijing Authorities Suspend License of "Lunar Embassy"
Beijing industrial and commercial authorities have suspended the license of a company claiming to sell land on the moon for engagement in speculation and profiteering. The Beijing Lunar Village Aeronautics Science and Technology Co., Ltd. with domestic financing, was registered on September 5 but has now stopped operation, said a source with the Chaoyang District Branch of the Beijing Municipal Administration for Industry and Commerce over the weekend.
