Satellites That Spy On Satellites: First Photos
This is the first photograph taken by a microsatellite of another object in space that has ever been released to the general public. The object near
the center is the upper stage of a Minotaur I rocket that was used to launch the Experimental Satellite System-11, commonly known as XSS-11. The
photograph was taken by the digital "witness camera" aboard XSS-11, a dishwasher-size microsatellite developed by the Air Force Research
Laboratory.
Pluto Has Three Moons, Hubble Images Show
Pluto has three moons, not one, new images from the Hubble Space Telescope suggest. Pluto, discovered as the ninth planet in 1930, was thought to be
alone until its moon Charon was spotted in 1978. The new moons, more than twice as far away as Charon and many times fainter, were spotted by Hubble
in May.

Sightings of a Panther-Like 'Big Cat'
Members of the public have reported seeing a creature similar to a black panther on the prowl in Cunnery Wood at Hipperholme and near Park Road,
Elland. Since February, sightings have also been made in Cragg Vale, Hebden Bridge, and Goitside, Booth, Halifax. Experts say sightings in Yorkshire
have been concentrated in the Huddersfield and Halifax areas in recent times.
28 Reports of UFO Sightings in Wales
THE Ministry of Defence has investigated 28 official reports of UFO sightings in Wales in the past three years. The close encounters include a black
object hovering over Rhyl, a flying disc over Newport and a spinning craft with legs spotted in the skies above the Valleys. The figures, released
under the Freedom of Information Act, show that there were seven sightings in 2002, eight in 2003, four in 2004 and nine so far this year.
Ghost Hunters Investigate
the Unknown
Chad Lewis didn't set out to be a ghost hunter. But as an undergraduate studying psychology, he became interested in the phenomenon of UFO reports.
"If they were true, what was causing them?" he asked. "If they weren't, what is it about human perception that makes them believe they've seen a
ghost or something from another dimension?"
Check in if You Dare
OK, I admit it. I believe in ghosts. And I have been in hotels where I've gotten a creepy vibe. Most recently I was staying at a little inn in
Denmark where a grisly murder had once taken place involving a cook, the owner's daughter and their efforts to kill her father, who disapproved of
the relationship (details of the 1800s event had been gruesomely described by the innkeeper over dinner).
Sea Serpent in Casco Bay?
In 1985, an elderly Scandinavian man cautiously approached the speaker who had just given a talk on cryptozoology before the Appalachian Mountain
Club. The man told the speaker, Loren Coleman, that a friend of his had seen a Sea Serpent. The man was Ole Mikkelsen of Portland, Maine. When Coleman
interviewed Mikkelsen, the fisherman began to relive his experience, the date exploding from Mikkelsen's lips: "The fifth day of June 1958! I won't
soon forget it."
Texas Pastor Electrocuted
During Baptism
A pastor performing a baptism was electrocuted inside his church Sunday morning after grabbing a microphone while partially submerged, a church
employee said. The Rev. Kyle Lake, 33, was standing in water up to his shoulder in a baptismal at University Baptist Church when he was electrocuted,
said Jamie Dudley, a church business administrator and wife of another pastor there.
