There's alot of things that I love about AboveTopSecret.com, but I think I love the motto Deny Ignorance, the most.
www.abovetopsecret.com...
It is the denial of ignorance that will save the world!
This motto, this grouping of words, has deeply affected me. From it's inception, I am sure it has inspired many and it has certainly inspired me.
I try to deny my own ignorance daily by coming here to be informed and have intelligent discussions with others. Where else can I find so much
information on so many subjects all in one place? Since becoming a member, I've not only been denying my own ignorance, but I do feel that in some
ways that I am contributing to helping others deny their ignorance. But recently, I've noticed something, which I hope does not become a trend and so
I offer you all the best descriptions of what our motto means. I won't tell you how to use it to your benefit, that is up to you, but I think we
should reread these words and try to live up to our self imposed high standards and truly deny ignorance. We can save the world.
Deny Ignorance
This motto has life. It has purpose. It asks our members to think.
It is a state of mind.
It is a sense of purpose.
It is a statement against paradigm.
It is a rage against mindless status quo.
The idea of "deny ignorance" isn't a goal that ATS hopes to accomplish. Instead, it's a challenge. A call to all those who come here to aspire
to a higher state of awareness through informed discussion and debate.
Deny ignorance is what we do. It's how we think. It's how we talk. It's how we listen.
Ignorance is the creeping crud of history that has clouded our minds and dulled our brains. It is the evil that men do, the reason history repeats,
and the cause of intolerance. We deny it. It's not welcome here. Within these boundaries, it has no strength.
Here, ignorance is denied.
Let's not repeat the past, let's not return to the dark ages of ideologies based on fear, terror, war and religious differences. Let's us deny
ignorance and see past our differences to find the ideas and solutions that will bring forth positive change to society. I love ATS and it's motto
and I will forever hold "Deny Ignorance" as a motto to live by.
