ATS Weekly, Edition 002, July 26, 2005
This has been a very exciting week in passing here at ATS. In fact from day one to this, ATS has always been a very exciting place to be, to
interact with others, exchange ideas, opinions, research and information. As a moderator here for a brief time, and a member of ATS for just over a
year I must tell you there is NEVER a dull moment here when logged in.
To start off, I must tell you I am very proud of the new ATS Council staff and their combined efforts to make this a better community for all. All
members now have a very powerful voice, and vehicle to promote changes that will benefit this community. No doubt, if you have an idea that could
benefit ATS your elected Council Staff members are the ones to contact. Great job guys!
A major announcement was made this last week from founder and owner of ATS, Simon Gray. Regarding changes in ownership of ATS. This is great news,
and opens up even more room for growth of this amazing online community and website. SimonGray, SkepticOverlord, and Springer. If you've been a
member for very long you should already know who these guys are. Their combined talents have contributed so much from behind the scenes here, you may
not always notice it. However I can assure you they are always working very hard to keep this site above all the rest.
We have a new forum on ATS now!
The War on Terrorism has over the years here at ATS brought many great discussions and conspiracy theories related to the attacks that started it
all on September 11, 2001. There is now a forum that will be open for discussions of conspiracies related to 9/11 and the attacks in London on 7/7.
We've moved a number of discussions from other forums to the new forum and already we have some new discussions open in this new forum. Please have a
look for yourselves...
9/11 & 7/7 Conspiracies
What do you think really happened? Jump in these conspiracy debates. There is nothing better than a really good discussion of a conspiracy theory!
I have been hearing from staff and members, a few complaints regarding the discussions of Islam within the War on Terrorism forums. Though very
subjective and controversial, it is increasingly hard to separate Islam from this debate, or discussions. When radical Islamic terrorists attack in
the name of Allah, and use the faith of Islam to promote their radical cause, it is a somewhat relevant component for discussion in the War on
Terrorism forum. We cannot simply deny the connection radical Islam has to this war. This does NOT mean that Islam in itself is bad, or that all
Muslims are. That is where all of us can step in and Deny Ignorance!
How about the new look of ATS?
Two words: Simply Awesome!
Once again ATS, you've made my day! Always something to see and do here. Again I'll say "never a dull moment." So many great new contributions
from members everywhere now open for reading and/or discussion. If you have not posted in a while, there is never a better time than now. This site
has grown at a staggering rate, this very message will go out to some 40,000 members if I am correct. The stats for this site are off the scale. That
should tell you all something. Both membership and staff are doing something right here!
Thank you for taking time to read this, and please always make the best of your time online here at ATS. Enjoy!
And above all Deny Ignorance.
