Christopher Story - Fraud? - You decide

the only problem with that is that I checked.

I called the Federal Reserve Research Library and they have NO record of ever subscribing to the ICR.

I called the World Bank - Same thing.

He claims to be a Fellow of the Royal Society of the Arts.

So I emailed the head of the fellowship.

No record of him.

He also claims to be a former economic advisor to Margaret Thatcher. So I called a friend in a UK Paper who checked their digital archives. Not ONE reference to this guy.

How many economic advisers to PM's have never been mentioned in a newspaper?

Google him. All you find is the same snippet over and over:

Try to find conferences he's spoken at (I could find one... totally fringe thing) and NO REFERENCE ANYWHERE to his supposed testimony to Congress.

Google him, LexusNexus him and do some real investigating.

This is just the tip of the iceberg.

If he is a fraud (and I feel pretty conclusively he is) then his publications should be AUTOMATICALLY shifted into HOAX.



If you want more, ask, but I'm not gonna type it all up if I'm the only one that cares he's a con-artist...which he is.

No doubt he published it, but his client list is false... at least on WIKI... and he didn't work for Thatcher... and he's not a Fellow (as he himself claims) of the RSA.

It is suspect. If you can tell one lie you can tell more and when you bank your information on your good credentials, and they turn out to be less than true then the credibility of what you say goes out the window too. this is the man that did the report on stillpoint right? I read that and thought it sounded very economic-speak and almost designed to confuse but then I am ignorant when it comes to economics (and shame on me living in a monetary system lol)

Most newspaper Web sites have only been in existence for a few years, and most of those don't have an archive at all. The Telegraph does, and an excellent one at that, but even then it doesn't delve decades back into the past. Other electronic archives similarly cover a relatively few years' worth of stories. To find an older article, you'll have to contact the newspaper directly. You might have to make a trip to their offices or pay a cuttings librarian at the paper to find the information for you.

It really depends on which newspaper you're dealing with, apparently. What year did Story claim to work for Thatcher? By digital archives do you mean archives that are available online, or do they digitize all their archives pre-internet?

They have digitised their paper going back through the 1980s. It's becoming quite common.

She works for the Guardian... so you know.

If you google Story (which you really should) you will see that claim made repeatedly.

He even claims it in his own bio:

No kidding, it's sad that quality threads do not get a bat of an eye unless the title is inflammatory in some manner.

I've checked up on a couple of his claims prior to this as well. Claims such as 12 bankers arrested in London, etc, without finding anything.
I learned the guardian has added files since the 1800's. There were two matches in their database for "Story, Christopher", but that is probably out of context stuff.
That's the thing about many people who make claims; you'd think they'd obtain documentation prior to their whistleblowing. The claim that such people have had their history "erased" is reoccurant.

Some of you don't seem to understand how disinformationists working for intelligence agencies (or freelancing for them) actually operate. They purposely mix myth and fabrication with truth so that snippets of "inside information" known only to intelligence agents gets out out in a form that is easily deniable and discreditable because of the obvious lies deliberately mixed in with it. The operator creates a legend for himself and hides behind it without ever revealing his sources so that it becomes impossible to tell if he is speaking the truth or not. That is his defence. As long as his veracity is questionable, he can get away with releasing sensitive information and the intelligence agencies look the other way because they know his information - although sometimes true - won't be believed by most people who have detected his lies.

It's cool that you uncovered this fraud, OP. But I don't think you should really expect everybody to care.

People have been posting this fraud's writing on ATS for ages.

Few people were completely taken in by him, but some were/are.

It's just good to clarify that the man is a fraud and shouldn't be trusted.

Great investigation job, and well done cousin! I've never heard of this man either, but am aware of him now, and the dubious credit he has gained. Thanks for bringing this to the forefront.

I have verified he went to Eton and Christ Church (yeah, I called Eton and Christ Church), but....

Even though he (or at least WIKI) claims to be an Economist his degree is in History.

He received a third level in 1959 and an MA in 1965. In History.

Weird.

If a few cases my enquiries have been met with, "the person in question has asked that information about him be NOT given to the public".... wonder why?


Actually, I think that's pretty common, it just sounds nice and foreboding.

So, another thing to tick off the WIKI list - Not an economist... or at least no reason to believe he's an economist.

On the WorldReports website, Christopher Story's book, "The Perestroika Deception" is decribed as:

a sequel to Anatoliy Golitsyn's famous work New Lies for Old, published in 1984, which accurately predicted the preplanned removal of the Berlin Wall, 'collapsible Communism' and all the deceptive Leninist strategic events of 1989-91. Both Golitsyn books expose the Soviet Bolshevik strategy to procure the establishment of World (Communist) Governance. Western participants in this long-range plan collaborated with the Soviets to procure the ‘fall’ of the Soviet Union, but failed to understand that they were being double-crossed by the Soviets – who have covertly persisted with their dimension of the World Revolution as though nothing really changed: which it didn’t. There was no true strategic discontinuity in 1989-91 – merely a Leninist (deceptive) discontiniuty to hoodwink the West.

Here's the problem with that, the CIA believes that:

So yeah, Story wrote a book with, and this is his description of Golitsyn, a "Famous genuine Soviet defector", who in fact was found to not be trustworthy by the CIA.

As a long time reader of Mr. Storys reports and judging not by the rhetoric included in this thread but by the 'vibrational' content of his messages I conclude that Mr. Story is most genuine.

The OP cited the CIA website as 'proof'. This would point to an intentional 'de-bunking' of his message. Followers of his World Reports site will know that Mr. Story and his associates have been victim of various 'black op's' style harrassment for years.

The OP has attempted to put the light out of this important and very brave mans message.

World reports certainly makes for interesting reading to say the least, but there's not enough hrs. in a day to follow up and check, re-check against alot of the claims. At least for me.
