I had a meditation this week and when I came out of it, I could see that I had an eye in my forehead. It was spooky to saw the least.

Since that meditation I can see it now, I feel like I have 3 eyes and it blinks just like my other eyes do. Usually, I 'see' things like a movie through the third eye, but to see an actual eye there now, is freaky.

Just wonder what it means?

I know there is some contention that it is used by the Masons, but looking at symbol meaning, it is not just attributed to Masons:

The Pyramid's Eye
The eye on the Great Seal represents a concept of active intervention of Deity in the affairs of men, while the Masonic symbol stands for a passive awareness by the Deity of the activities of men.

Eye of Horus
The Buddha sits in the meditative Lotus position, imitating the shape of a pyramid. Yet his mind (will) is still separated from his body. The apex of the mind and will is the pineal gland, or third eye. Even with meditation, the pineal gland remains closed.

Third Eye Chakra
The Third Eye Chakra, located just above the centre point between the eyebrows. It spins extremely fast, and is associated with the colour Indigo. It is the centre of visual, psychic and intuitive perception, and its’ attributes are clairvoyance, memory, dreams and vision. So we are now in the realms of the intangible

Eye Pineal Gland
It is called the 'Third Eye' which in reality is the Pineal Gland. It is long thought to have mystical powers. Many consider it the Spiritual Third Eye, our Inner Vision.

Eye Pineal GlandAncient Greeks believed the pineal gland to be our connection to the Realms of Thought.

Eye Pineal Gland...mystical traditions and esoteric schools have long known this area in the middle of the brain to be the connecting link between the physical and spiritual worlds. Considered the most powerful and highest source of ethereal energy available to humans, the pineal gland has always been important in initiating supernatural powers. Development of psychic talents has been closely associated with this organ of higher vision. The third eye can see beyond the physical

Has anyone had any experiences with the third eye?

I had not thought of the triangle or pyramid to symbolise the lotus position...

Congratulations on reaching that level. i opened mine for a short time during meditation but cannot seem to keep it open once i open my physical eyes and leave the trance, maybe im just not ready yet or somethings holding me back? first thing i noticed was that everything is made of energy and that light level is completely unimportant when it comes to how well you see things. i also noticed that i couldn't make out fine details as well from a distance and that the coloring of things seemed different. perhaps i just meditated so long that i half fell asleep and dreamed it but thats what i experienced none the less. it reminds me that ive been sidetracked by other things in life and that i should try it again until i get it right. heres a link to some info on the third eye www.energyenhancement.org...

thanks, I didnt' know it was a level. I was actually very worried

well, funny I see it there open and blinking all the time now. It is quite weird but also funny, when I am doing something not in meditation, I might 'see' something in this eye that I can't see with my other eyes.

weird. LOL

I don't know what I have done for this to happen or be conscious of it? I just didn't think it was normal to have three eyes! I always thought, the third eye was like a blank space and only activated sometimes. I meditate a lot and since seeing this, I have seen, experienced something extraordinary, but that is it.

Well as i said i havn't spent as much time as i probably should have focusing on my third eye so your further along than me on that but i know its definitely an important step getting it open and now you should be able to see the energy you work with now (if your into that yet) and that should make things much easier for you. theres a lot of conflicting views on the third eye and it seems to be unique to some degree for each person but after reading up on the fine details it does seem odd to have both open at the same time so naturally. have you asked your guide about this? can you describe how things look for you through the third eye when your physical eyes are closed? im mainly wondering what the distance of your vision range is through it and whether things take on 2 different colors and what those colors are for you?

Third eye is the one we percieve our imagination with and see dreams with. The fourth eye is the one astral projection uses and it has one other eye in it even.

Maybe you're aware of my two threads roughly based on this subject matter.
i am in no way claiming to be be a 'specialist' or anything but it does seem that I have some sort of skill using my third eye..if that is what it is that's being used.

The point of the two threads was to get others to help clarify and maybe even prove what is going on, how it works etc etc.

In case you can't see it, I'll post the link to one of the threads for you to read through and follow any links provided.

The pineal gland is nothing mystical at all.

So far, there has been only anecdotal evidence for it being anything other than a gland. What you might experience during meditation, no matter how vivid it is to you, is about as bankrupt as evidence can get, as it's so highly subjective.

With respect, I feel you're missing out on something here. Some theorise it has something to do with this gland. Some believe it completely.

Proving it is another matter, yet it does seem pretty obvious that some are able to use some form of higher sense to be able to 'pick up' on things that are virtually impossible to know unless you told everyone and word got around.

Through what I have done on a couple of threads, someone stated that I had

legitimately demonstrated a psychic ability to read people

Maybe you can add to the discussion and explain or even prove how I've done it.. Maybe you'd care to ask all those I've done a reading for, how close i really was?

Dave what your failing to see is that "evidence" is controlled and suppressed by people in power that desire to stay that way by limiting the knowledge and as a result the power available to others. in simply terms stop trusting in what others see and start trusting only what you see for yourself or your going to spend an entire lifetime learning very little

Can some of you please describe what you see through your third eye as im starting to wonder if maybe i experienced some sort of etheric projection or something similar instead of third eye opening and i just want to make sure as i lost a certain amount of interest in the third eye after my experience because it didn't feel as natural as id hoped it would and seemed to limit my vision in many ways (for example about 3-4 meters in all directions in the shape of a sphere my vision darkened to nothing limiting my max vision range significantly) so if anyone can describe whether they saw everything in two colors and what those colors were and if they experienced the lower vision range it would certainly help me confirm the experience

I don't mean to make light of your experience but this "third eye" location is where I normally receive my Botox injections.

No seriously

Can some of you please describe what you see through your third eye

Hi HuntaXX

I see 'me' in other realities/situations with other people. There is always something deeper to it. It is as clear as how you would see with your eyes.

I see 'me' doing something in one moment, then I will see 'me' in another moment doing the opposite or experiencing the effect of the moment before.

For eg: I am somewhere and wonder why someone is staring at me, the person is fascinated. I consciously 'hear' my thought and that is "why is this person fascinated with me?' Then I see, straight after that 'me' in another situation, me being fascinated with them. And then I laugh. It is funny.

so it is for the most part an understanding of the cause and effect of my and everyone else's thoughts. Call it karma... I don't believe it is entirely that.

Like another time I saw myself in a garden and I saw a butterfly. When I saw it I 'thought' oh how beautiful, admiring it and smiling, then I saw next that I became the butterfly and flew around, I saw that when the butterfly died, the white energy floated up and I was 'me' again.

So, I feel I have been everything I have admired, I have also been everything I have disliked. I have been every animal, many people in all situations.

I have been the cause of someone else's thoughts... I have caused others to experience because of my thoughts.

I believe I have gained a deeper understanding of who and what I am (every past, present future possiblity); perhaps that is why consciousness is so important.

I have seen one thing that is so profound, I will have a hard time explaining it. It is like I experienced something that will take forever to explain.

thats sounds different to what i experienced so im wondering if i did it right. thats good news though because i found it to be a let down and lost a fair amount of interest in it after that so i think ill devote more time to it again. its odd though because i got the swirling colors and all the normal things before it happened but then it was like all of a sudden i could see and everything was in red and yellow and my first thought was "am i seeing heat?" but when i looked around at heat sources in the room they weren't any brighter so it couldn't have been heat. about 3-4 meters in all directions in the shape of a sphere my vision darkened to nothing so the range of this type of vision was very limited as well. a very strange experience to say the least, has anyone ever experienced this?

Im not sure about the eye of providence being connected to the third eye but
heres a site with a good amount of info on it www.strayreality.com...

Hi again, I am glad what I shared makes you feel better, especially as you want to have another go at it!

I see things like this that makes me go looking for info:
(think you will like this one)

Ancient Myths and Astrology

I also experience some wonderful sensations. For eg: I meditated that I was in water, the water was still and sparkled it was so clean. I opened all of my senses to 'feel' the water running through my body. For about 15 mins "I was the water". It was amazing and very different.

some of my meditations are very healing but others help me to gain a deeper understanding of who, what I am.

I now believe that I am only 'energy'. The foundation of my being is 'energy' and energy has unlimited expression, unlimited being.

I am not sure about what you are seeing 'colours' but many years ago before I committed to meditation, Rarely I would see 'unexpected visuals' or COLOUR in that area.

Perhaps a good exercise to do is to lay down quietly and go to a moment in your past. Replay it in your mind. See if you can see the memory of it clearly. Try to see your memories like a movie.

Hi and welcome to ATS. Why do you think that?

The fact that you are obviously hallucinating makes me believe you have had something go awry in your brain. Since minor strokes are very common and are something that happens quite literally in the blink of an eye I've put two and two together. However, not being a physician restricts my diagnosis somewhat but after reading what you've posted I do believe there is some (hopefully minor) problem with your brain and/or thought processes.
Oh, and the pineal gland is just that, a gland. Similar to the pancreas or liver etc. It's not and never has been an occular device of any sort.

Thank you for posting your thoughts here. I just wonder with respect to your views, do you believe in meditating or visualisation?

Perhaps all the ancients who wrote of the third eye also had issues with their brain? There is a lot of info out there about this kind of thing. I am not rejecting what you offer up, I just wonder how this kind of thing works in the big scheme of things?
