Return To Moon Announcement?

Supposedly, on Dec 17 Bush is going to announce plans to develop a renewed space program, with a key component being a return to the moon. I've heard mutterings of this before, but the only link I've seen is on this arch-conservative site.

As long as he isn't hoping to "liberate" the Mooninites this will probably be a good thing.

Looks like another "space race", this time against China.
Wonder if Russia will join in this one?
They are speculating he will announce a perminent presence on the moon.

Bush is taking a headlong dive into massive deficit, and this new space program isn't helping at ALL. I think that we really need to speak up here. We currently have a stock market running on credit...there's really little to no actual money in the economy right now. IMHO, that's just unacceptable.
