They have found out the "piltdown man" is fake. The piltdown man was what they used to link humans to apes and now textbooks in England are being revised........well we won't see that happening here, we have way to much pride to actually say that we were wrong.

Piltdown Man went from being one of the biggest discoveries of the 20th Century to being its greatest scientific embarrassment.

I could have told you that from the moment I got here
"and he created us to his equal".

But hey, if people really wanted to believe that after 2 million years the beliefs started coming all of a sudden together with all kind of buildings, miracles and tens of thousands of written texts, and became technologically advanced in a fraction of the evolution, just by accident

then that's up to them offcourse

You are against the theory of evolution?

The theory of evolution is crap !!!

No way man evolved from apes...

Aliens... maybe but not apes !!

The problem though is this is what they teach in school. If they actually decide to update the textbooks, it won't be for another 4 years before students start learning this (new textbooks came out this year and school systems are CHEAP). When I was in biology, my biology teacher converted everybody to the theory of evolution....even the christians.

I'm sorry, but one fake skull and a made up story will not change the fact that evolution not only exists, but is the only logical explanation.

Evolution still makes more sense.

I still wonder why some people don't believe in the theory...

So... what's your exact explanation, standing on hard, scientific proof?

do you not realize how much the evolution stuff has been streched. If you were a true atheist and had researched completly on evolution you would realize that the possibilities of evolution were streched beyond beleif. Not only that, but the theory that we were created out of a biological soup. They supposedly proved they could form cells in this, but they put things in the biological soup they knew did not exhist.

And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth.

1:27
So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them.

The fossil record has a lot of holes in it. Fossils aren't a perfect means of keeping track of evolution as bones rarely fossilize, as everybody should realize.

However, I think there is something else to science we aren't being told about. Not God, not evolution, something likely to do with extraterrestrial experimentation.

i dont fancy the thought, apes and me doesnt go down too well, it never did.
i think i'll stick to my OTHER oppinion, all things evolved from a test by alien god-like creatures far superior/bigger than us to see how this species' would survive on earth..
2000 years' later they're getting bored, so now they're chucking flares at the planet / causing some excitement in the world to test our endurance(and the only reason they'd do that is because we're most likely their most succesful experiment so far).

Evolution theory applies to all living creatures, but maybe not at the extreme it is most commonly associated with.

Consider the common flu virus.

Every year it is a different strain,
slightly different than the last.

Your body can learn a new strain, and fight it off, but only if it has been exposed to it before.

If a virii can do it, mammals can do it.

More than likely it is the result of some environmental change, that instigates a change, but usually takes many generations of a species, to establish a new evolved species.

in that case!!!
the matrix does exist

well...that term would simply put it in humanitarian terms, but...it is possible that a test is carried out with lots of rules to abide by stringing us by the balls' to test endurance.....i believe everything is a test, a cynical view i abide by? agreed

REALLY! I've really wondered why they are so set on converting us against God.

OK, fair enough, my argument was incomplete, to say the least.

I know that evolution is a flawed theory. Unfortunately, it is the best we have at the moment. To me, it makes more sense than the bible.

So, it's not great, but it is based on some scientific facts, not fiction.

I am ignorant of the whole story about this, I freely admit that. But if my opinion was asked, I'd go with evolution over religion every time.

I'm happy to be shown links to show how crappy the theory of evolution is, but I doubt if any lack of confidence in evolution would make be believe the bible version of events. I have a scientific mind, not a spiritual one.

No offence to the god-fearing intended

Of course, noone is here to offend others.

But... well... It look s like this:
It all started with simple chemical reactions wich led to the creations of organysms: procarionts, lacking nucleus, but with DNA floating inside a small cell. These organysms are Bacteria, Cyanosis and Archeans. Archeans EVOLVED into eucariotical cells, bigger and with a nucleus. These cells specialised themselves, creating more advanced organysms, Protista. Protista continued to evolve into more advanced organysms: plants, mushrooms and animals. Animals, from simple Metaosa group evolved into chordates, wich include vertebrates, among them fish. Fish evolved into reptiles, wich evolved into mammals. And we are mammals, we evolved from the primates, thus we evolved from the simplest Archeans, it all makes sense.

Our current scientists don't even want us thinking there are aliens coming to this planet despite evidence against that notion.

Science has never set out to disprove God from what I've read. It only attempts to explain how things work. Current evolutionary theory throws out the argument that the Bible is giving anything close to what really happened, but does not mean its simply a symbolic tale. God can still be there, but science wants to show how God works.

However, science does at all times attempt to disprove that extraterrestrials are coming here in light of the volume of evidence for it.

yes Im not christian either, but I do not beleive evolution. I just beleive in a higher power whatever it may be (for all we know it could be lil aliens living under ground in area 51 with remote controls) but I just figuire God will reveal himself probably after death and life is for living so I let that be.

Since about the age of 10, I've thought that the missing link was when aliens stepped in and altered the DNA to produce the first humans. (these days, I'm not convinced I believe in aliens, though)
