Iran is now sharing with the UN Nuclear watchdog that it received a blueprint for making a key piece for a Nuclear Bomb. The black market documents were supposedly obtained from the nuclear smuggling network run by disgraced Pakistani scientist AQ Khan, according to an agency report. Iran recently resumed nuclear conversion for the first time after a nine-month hiatus.

Iran has passed on to United Nations inspectors documents on how to build a crucial part of a nuclear bomb, the UN's atomic agency says.

Tehran says it got the information from the nuclear smuggling network run by disgraced Pakistani scientist AQ Khan, according to an agency report.

The Iranians say they neither requested the data from AQ Khan nor used it.

Well another nation probably has the means of creating a nuclear weapon which just adds more worry to the world. Im sure this is one card that they want to try to hide until they have to play it for fears of sanctions from other nations. One question thou, why not go after them first instead of Iraq. They seem to have the WMD's. At least theres evidence, but im sure thats next on the agenda for bush.

How is this evidence of Iran's "hidden" nuclear intentions if they:

1: Tell and show the UN Nuclear watchdog group that they recieved these plans?

2: Give specifics of where they got them. (This together with 1 would make one think more in the direction of Iran trying to help the UN Watchdog group track down and catalogue what this smugling ring is selling.)

Why would they come out and say they have these plans if they are supposed to be developing nukes in secret?

I find it utterly amusing how some of the public created propaganda against Iran these days involves stating they have plans and know how on how to make nukes.

Anyone who has an internet connection can get plans for a nuke, buy, relativly cheaply, components for a nuke and get everything else they need to construct a nuke without dying in the process.

The only thing thats hard to get is the isotopes that fuel a nuke.
And thats where the controversy about Iran's nuclear plant comes from. That thing can make the fuel if they want to.

Iran denies it has nuclear weapons blueprints

Furthermore, their parliament today approved a bill (of 197 lawmakers present, 183 voted in favor) that requires the government to block IAEA inspections of Iran's facilities if the U.N. nuclear agency refers the Iranian program to the U.N. Security Council.
