Well it's a start I wonder what low man on the totem pole will swing for this.

U.S. admits torture in Guantanamo, Iraq, Afghanistan

Snip~

For the first time, Washington has acknowledged to the United Nations that prisoners have been tortured at U.S. detention centres in Guantanamo Bay, as well as Afghanistan and Iraq, a UN source said on Friday.

The acknowledgement was made in a report submitted to the UN Committee against Torture, said a member of the ten-person panel, speaking on condition of anonymity.

"They are no longer trying to duck this, and have respected their obligation to inform the UN," the Committee member told a media source.

"They they will have to explain themselves (to the Committee).

aljazeera.com?

That’s like getting news directly from Al Qaeda.

So let me get this straight: Aljazeera has news that the USA has "officially" admitted abuse at Gitmo? That’s funny, I cant seem to find this news anywhere else. For Aljazeera to get an inside scoop that big they must have some great contacts in Washington. That must be the case because not one other news source is reporting this and an admittal of this magnitude could only mean that ALJAZEERA has contacts at the Whitehouse that nobody else has.

Um...You start to sense my sarcasm about Aljazeera having contacts in Washington yet?

This story is about as bogus as the GI Joe hostage photo's....More Al Qaeda propaganda from their in house news agency.

EDit:

Daily Star? From USA loving downtown Lebanon? LOLLOLOLOLOL

And as far as Forbes is concerned, they got thier news from AFX News Limited, not even based in the USA.

I find it terribly hard to imagine that all these non USA sources have such close ties to Washington that the 8 galzilion news agencies here dont...

Yea like the MSM would want you to know
if it's not on Fox, CNN, or what have you it can't be real.
I used the Aljazeera link for just this purpose to see how it would be denied.

Here it is from Forbes my second link

Here's another source...

UN sources said it was the first time the world body has received such a frank statement on torture from US authorities.

WOW negativenihil! You get the "Links that go nowhere" award today!

All those Google links either say the very same thing as the Aljazeera site, or quote Dick Durbin, or cry out in anguish that Shakira has had a tough time in famous-person-paradise lately.

That suuuuuuuuure proved your lack of a point. Your so-called proof has NO names, NO evidence, NO photo's, and NO credibility. "UN Committee member"...which one? Who? What does he do? "US Authorities"...Who? What do they do? "...in a report submitted to the UN Committee on torture"...what report? Where is it? Why is this 3 days old already, and NO CREDIBLE NEWS SOURCE HAS AIRED OR PRINTED IT?

You need to find a new rock to crawl out from, the old one is flaking off.
