That one is 37 frames or so.

animated gifs are definitely allowed, although not like the one I posted.

The gif has to be 175X240 or less and no more than 75K

However, if you want to be creative, you can combine a ani .gif and a background, both within spec, for presentation and then split them out for the contest... it's a lot of work to be sure.
