Harvard writer: Free speech threatens liberalism and must be destroyed

If this Harvard University student got her way, free speech on campus would be abolished and professors with dissenting views fired, because radical leftism is the only permissible political philosophy and the First Amendment is a barrier preventing modern colleges from fulfilling their proper role as indoctrination camps.

Her name is Sandra Korn. She is a senior at Harvard and columnist for the Harvard Crimson.

Okay, my ATS peoples. I am an advocate for free speech. I've tried to always be consistent on that issue.

I've even stated that firing of tv political pundits on MSNBC and CNN weren't a good idea.

But this is what passes for freedom for the next generation of "leaders".

In a recent column, Korn unambiguously insisted that the university should stop guaranteeing professors and students the right to hold controversial views and pursue research that challenges liberalism.

“If our university community opposes racism, sexism, and heterosexism, why should we put up with research that counters our goals?” asked Korn in her column.

The column’s subtitle was even more direct: “Let’s give up on academic freedom in favor of justice.”

So is this what we have to look forward to? Progressive "justice"?

Basically, that's just do what I say, earn what I say, say what I want you to say, behave how I tell you to.

Read it along time ago, and it was spot on.
I highly recommend getting a copy.

Oh yeah one more thing....Obama and many other cabal

Some days I wish there was a free america hit squad this type of thing could be reported to. You know an organization of wet work guys loyal to our constitution that you could report violations to that could exterminate those in opposition to our way of life. This is the truth.

For a long time, people on the right (or conservative) side of the argument just assumed that the opposite numbers were mistaken or had differing views on how to make this country great. We thought that if we just talked long enough and discussed things, we could hammer it out.

What we missed is that they were playing for keeps and somewhere along the way, they changed the dialogue. It went from a simple disagreement to a struggle of good v. evil with us playing the evil.

In her mind, she is completely justified because the opposing viewpoints aren't just wrong or misguided. They're evil. She likely believes that with all the fervor of any true religious zealot, too.
