Ta Jane!
Ended up having chips and garlic bread with mine too!

The Island was awesome. Met up with my old pal Scott on Friday night.
A few Guinness's's'sss's later and we were working our way along the rather nice selection of Malt Whiskies in Frasers Bar.
Found a REALLY nice one I hadn't tried before.... "Glenrothes". A Lovely drop of stuff.
Saturday Sunday we were Dog sitting! For a lovely Collie cross called Dusk.
Sunday morning saw us round the back of the Island at Fintry Bay cafe for a Full Cooked Breakfast... then coffees and Cake! (They do a deeeelish Carrot Cake, their "honeycomb" cake (like malteser cake) is simply awesome, and their continental chocolate cake is just like a huge slice of choccy fudge brownie!!)
A couple of nice walks on the beach...

Gordi, I like all of those ingredients, I've just never had them together. It sounds nice though.

No she did'nt in the end. I had a stern word with her about how she ought to learn to chill out, and how we had months and months to finalise everything, without risking last minute nonsense. She heard reason!

Long weekend with no proper work!

Re-Strung a couple of guitars and took them to the holiday flat in prep for Cody comin' over!

I would have invited you dude, but it was not my party, and I only knew it was happening when I walked in the door and my sister said "PETE!! HERE! HAVE A COCKTAIL!", to which I responded "Give me a moment to change into more appropriate garb".

At which point, I donned a jacket and tie and got stuck in!

Me, being a Scot... there is NO SUCH THING as "More appropriate garb" for drinking in!!!

THE most appropriate garb for us, is what we happen to be wearing at the time the invite arrives!!!! LOL

@Cody - I may have secured a RIB for us to have a play in (at the gathering!)

Hey, if she had merely said "Pete, fancy an ale, or a Rum and Coke?" then I would have said " Point me at the booze dude!"

But it was cocktails, her friends were over, and they all dressed up 1930s style. I did not want to lower the tone of the do! I mean, there was a bloody MENU dude. A MENU! I went with an augmented Zombie Christophe. It ended up being a hybrid bastard of a Zombie Christophe with gold flecked vodka and midori in it as well as the usual combustibles!

Mackerel, on a bed of pilau rice, with a nice dollop of Hellmanns mayo. Luckily, our local co-op does a nice line in vacum packed mackerel!
