Driving class was mandatory in my high school back in the seventies. I was driving tractors in the field at my Uncles Farm when I was ten. He looked at it as work, I looked at it as fun. Still do.

I never knew a person that didn't have a license until I joined the Army. It was always great fun trying to teach the city kids how to drive a manual transmission. I watch one guy go across the motor pool, through the fence, across the road and into a building in a 2-1/2 truck. The thing was bucking like a bronco, he was getting tossed all over the cab and there was a platoon of people chasing after it. It still cracks me up thinking about it.

LOL - erm well, it's basically a big lump of ham/bacon, sort of!?

Anyways - you can roast or boil the joint.
Roasting is great and you can coat it in all sorts of wonderful stuff beforehand (Honey? Orange Marmalade? etc) but for an easy, moist, tender, juicy, tasty midweek meal....

I Boil mine in a 50:50 mixture of water and ORANGE JUICE!

(The fruit acids in the juice start to break down the meat as it cooks, and it comes out soft, soooo juicy and melt-in-the-mouth delicious! The orange flavour works well with the ham too, and as recipes go.... they don't get much simpler than this!)

Believe it or not - You can Use COKE or another (non-diet) Cola as the boiling liquid and it works just as well!!
But the refined sugars in the coke maybe aren't so good for you, so I prefer using O.J.!

I can picture you guys going "...Yeah RIGHT!!!" but I swear that it's true AND it tastes delicious! (and couldn't be easier to do!)

Luckily, my sister knew a good instructor, and because I have always been concerned about the responsibility involved with driving a car, I have not ended up ploughing through intersections or smashing through garden walls. In fact, everything is progressing fairly well as far as I can tell. I have not had more than six lessons yet, but my instructor was happy enough with my progress that we went further and used main roads, busier roads than we have before.

I am enjoying it so far anyway !

True in November my daughter told me I was dead to her, the reasons are in the thread.

Hi, me and Cody jnr are planning a visit in July, before my military service.
Hoping to see every one . We would most like to meet with you, we want to fix things with you, already talked to granny and grandad.

OK so she didn't call me dad or anything, but I am over the moon about all of this.

My little girl is coming to see me with my son, and I get to be the best dad in the world for a short time.

I cannot explain the elation I am feeling right now, and wanted you guys to know what has happened.

I am genuinely the happiest man in the world at this moment in time.

I have come to The Shed to hide for a little while.
I just had lunch with my daughter at a little coffee shop on the main street of town here. As we walked out the door, in full view of lots of people....my skirt dropped right down to the ground.
Luckily I had black opaque tights underneath....but dear God...
I hope nobody was filming it, lol.

Hey Dawg! Oh it was a malfunction alright, lol.
I just laughed, but my daughter said, "OMG Mom! If that had been me, I would have been mortified!!"
I told her there are some good things about getting older, hehe....like not caring anymore!
