We only have two seasons here in the U.P., fishing season, and hunting season.

my allegory was about "GLOBAL WARMING"
your allegory was about "CLIMATE CHANGE"

"climate change" is probably the oldest topic that humans
ever talked about followed closely by the oldest profession.

In the 1970's the big fear mongering climate threat to mankind was:
Global Ice age approaching.

Remember this, Most weathermen, on radio, television
usually cannot predict that it is going to be dark at night
from one 24 hour period to the next much less a
week, month, year into the future.

For everyone denying climate change, you'd better hope you are right.

Have a look at the 2 graphs below, they depict world rice and wheat production vs consumption. You will note that the graph is getting increasingly higher in both criteria. While we can no doubt keep continuing to increase production in the sort to medium term,
it must be borne in mind that there is only a finite amount of farmland out there and eventually it will hit 100% production capability.

The droughts and floods associated with this climate shift are a real danger to our food security. You well see that already in the last decade demand has outstripped supply once already for both of them. They do have carry over stocks to help offset this, but 2 bad years in a row and we're in trouble.
