As the athletics started their game.
Fighting honorably and peaceful against each other awarded with precious metal in ranking name.

We set aside the wars, misery in poverty and pain for glory and pride.
Forget the man and woman who build the arenas who go under in despair nations wide.

We only want to see our modern gladiators’ strife.
To measure force between nations contesters peaceful with respect for human life.

Why do we live this contradictory lies?
And honor those in wars and poverty and undermine the ones we despise?

Who are the ones that really deserved to be medaled for bronze, silver, or gold?
We choose not the ones who fought for our freedom build our arenas nor the cripple and old.

We portrait ourselves glorious in holy flame ,look to the heavens and pray to win in Olympus name .
For billions spent in the name of sports to see medals pass the legendary lane.

Are we still human or are we slowly getting insane?

That's a nice story. And its very true as well. The real heroes are the unseen ones not those on the tv
